On behalf of the Communist and Workers Parties, that have gathered in Izmir for the 21st International Meeting of the Communist and Workers Parties, we strongly condemn the military operation of the Turkish government and armed forces, that has been launched on the 10th of October in the north-east of Syria, together with their de-facto army, the jihadist-plunderer militias, the so-called Free Syrian Army, which has been fed by the Gulf States, Turkey and US and had a role in the devastation of the country since the beginning of the war in Syria.

First of all, we consider the operation as an intervention violating the sovereignty and independence of a country. The operation is not an act by itself, but is a reflection of the chaos and deadlock that imperialism has brought in to the region in the past 8 years. We denounce all the secret negotiations and deals made behind the people’s back, between imperialists, bourgeois governments, or other political actor that is collaborating or conciliating with them.

We are well aware that interventions and wars are the solutions that imperialism resorts to, either to attain larger zones of influence and resources to exploit, or to overcome the social and economical crises or conflicts due to competition, which are the inevitable results of a social order that is based on the interests of monopolies and exploitation. They clearly depict the barbaric side of imperialism, which does not hesitate to employ and raise fundamentalist, reactionary gangs for their dirty purposes and then make the people wrestle with such uncontrollable monsters. In this case, Turkey, whose bourgeoisie has ambitions to move upwards in the imperialist hierarchy and looks forward to exploit the natural and human resources of the region, has provided the main support and consent to this military operation.

Moreover, these interventions have irreversible, irreparable and devastating consequences on all values created by humanity, destroying the lives of people, resources and historical heritage, which is universal. This operation is illegitimate in every sense of the word.

We also notice and denounce that the intervention has also resulted in a sort of a state of emergency in Turkey which the government is exploiting to boost the level of authoritarianism, to provoke nationalism and hostility, and to oppress all those who oppose the acts of the government.

With full solidarity, we declare that we are friends of the working people of Syria regardless of their ethnic or national background. We will always defend the rights of people of Syria, to live in an independent, sovereign country with territorial integrity, it is the right and the duty of the working people of Syria to transform their country into a free and egalitarian country. All other countries, that have their armed forces and bases have to abandon Syria immediately.

We are calling on to ail occupying foreign forces: Hands off Syria!

Moción del TKP

Por cuenta de los Partidos Comunistas y Obreros que se reunieron en Izmir en el 21° Encuentro internacional de Partidos Comunistas y Obreros, condenamos firmemente la operación militar del gobierno y fuerzas armadas turcos que se lanzó el día 10 de Octubre en el noreste de Siria junto con su ejército de facto las milicias yihadistas-expoliadores, el supuesto Ejército Libre Sirio, un grupo alimentado por los Estados del Golfo, Turquía y los Estados Unidos y que jugó un papel en la devastación de Siria desde el principio de ¡a guerra.

Primero, consideramos la operación como una intervención que viola la soberanía e independencia de un país. La operación no es un acto en sí mismo, sino es una reflexión del caos y estancamiento que el imperialismo ha traído a la región en los últimos 8 años. Denunciamos todas las negociaciones y acuerdos secretos que se hacen a espaldas de los pueblos entre los imperialistas, los gobiernos burgueses u otros actores políticos que están colaborando o conciliando con ellos.

Estamos muy conscientes que las intervenciones y las guerras son las soluciones que el imperialismo prefiere, sea para ganar más zonas de influencia y recursos para explotar o para superar las crisis sociales y económicas o conflictos por ¡a competencia, que son resultados inevitables de un orden social que está basado en los intereses de los monopolios y la explotación. Estos representan claramente el lado barbárico del imperialismo que no vacila en emplear y criar bandas fundamentalistas y reaccionarias para sus objetivos sucios y después dejar los pueblos tener que luchar contra tal monstruos incontrolables. En este caso, Turquía, la burguesía de la cual tiene aspiraciones de subir en la jerarquía imperialista y tiene deseos de explotar los recursos naturales y humanos de la región, ha proveyó la ayuda y permiso fundamental para esta operación militar.

Además, estas intervenciones tienen consecuencias irreversibles, irreparables y devastadores sobre todos los valores creados por la humanidad, destruyen las vidas de las personas, los recursos y el patrimonio histórico que es universal. Esta operación es ilegítimo en todo el sentido de la palabra.

También observamos y denunciamos que la intervención resultó en un tipo de estado de emergencia en Turquía lo cual el gobierno está explotando para incrementar el nivel de autoritarismo, para provocar nacionalismo e hostilidad, y para oprimir todos los opositores de los actos del gobierno.

Con toda la solidaridad, declaramos que somos amigos del pueblo obrero de Siria independientemente de su origen étnico o nacional. Siempre defenderemos los derechos del pueblo sirio para vivir en un país independiente y soberano con integridad territorial. Es el derecho y el deber del pueblo obrero de Siria transformar su país en un país libre y egalitario. Todos los otros países que tienen fuerzas armadas o bases militares deben abandonar Siria inmediatamente.

Decimos a todas las fuerzas extranjeras de ocupación: Manos fuera de Siria!

Au nom des partis communistes et ouvriers réunis à Izmir à ¡'occasion de la 21^e™ réunion internationale des partis communistes et ouvriers, nous condamnons fermement l'opération militaire du gouvernement et des forces armées turcs lancée le 10 octobre au nord-est de la Syrie, avec leur armée de facto, les milices pilleurs de djihadistes, la soi-disant armée syrienne libre, qui a été alimentée par les États du Golfe, la Turquie et les États-Unis et a joué un rôle dans la dévastation du pays depuis le début de la guerre en Syrie.

Tout d'abord, nous considérons l'opération comme une intervention violant la souveraineté et l'indépendance d'un pays. L'opération n'est pas un acte en soi, mais est le reflet du chaos et de l'impasse que l'impérialisme a créés dans la région au cours des 8 dernières années. Nous dénonçons toutes les négociations et transactions secrètes conclues dans le dos du peuple, entre impérialistes, gouvernements bourgeois ou autres acteurs politiques qui collaborent ou se concilient avec eux.

Nous savons bien que les interventions et les guerres sont les solutions auxquelles recourt l'impérialisme, soit pour atteindre de plus grandes zones d'influence et des ressources à exploiter, soit pour surmonter les crises ou les conflits sociaux et économiques dus à la concurrence, qui sont les résultats inévitables d'un ordre fondé sur les intérêts des monopoles et l'exploitation. Ils décrivent clairement le côté barbare de l'impérialisme, qui n'hésite pas à employer et à élever des gangs réactionnaires fondamentalistes à des fins saies pour ensuite inciter les populations à lutter contre de tels monstres incontrôlables. Dans ce cas, la Turquie, dont la bourgeoisie a l'ambition de monter dans la hiérarchie impérialiste et compte exploiter les ressources naturelles et humaines de la région, a fourni le soutien et le consentement principaux à cette opération militaire.

De plus, ces interventions ont des conséquences irréversibles, irréparables et dévastatrices sur toutes les valeurs créées par l'humanité, détruisant la vie des personnes, des ressources et du patrimoine historique, qui est universel. Cette opération est illégitime dans tous les sens du terme.

Nous notons et dénonçons également que l'intervention a entraîné une sorte d'état d'urgence en Turquie que le gouvernement exploite pour renforcer le niveau de l'autoritarisme, provoquer le nationalisme et l'hostilité et opprimer tous ceux qui s'opposent aux actes du gouvernement.

En toute solidarité, nous déclarons être des amis du peuple travailleur de la Syrie, indépendamment de leur origine ethnique ou nationale. Nous défendrons toujours les droits du peuple syrien de vivre dans un pays indépendant, souverain et doté d‘une intégrité territoriale. C'est le droit et le devoir du peuple travailleur de la Syrie de transformer leur pays en un pays libre et égalitaire. Tous les autres pays ayant leurs forces armées et leurs bases doivent immédiatement quitter la Syrie.

Nous appelons toutes les forces étrangères occupantes: Laissez la Syrie tranquille!
