No to bilateral agreements III with the EU: Trade unions should not give in to the pro-European elite!

The bilateral agreements III between Switzerland and the European Union, as Prof. Pascal Sciarini of the University of Geneva has also admitted, are nothing more than the re-proposal of the infamous “framework agreement” that imposed on Switzerland the passive take-over of EU laws that were never democratically voted on.

The Federal Government's decision (four ministers, including minister of foreign affairs Ignazio Cassis, against three) to submit agreements with the EU only to an optional referendum and not to a compulsory one is an abomination, showing that the sellout elite that has taken the Federal Palace hostage is blindly obeying Brussels. But this is a stratagem to circumvent the principle of the “double majority” in order to favour the pro-European elite, which will start a hammering propaganda campaign in the media, schools and barracks to indoctrinate young people first.

The Swiss Social Democratic Party and the Greens are in their turn pushing the trade unions to bow to the diktats of the EU against the interests of the workers. The Communist Party, on the other hand, reaffirms its opposition to this new framework agreement and urges the workers to impose themselves in their unions and to build the broadest united front to stop this disastrous and anti-social process of subjugation of the Confederation to the EU. In fact, these bilateral agreements III will lead to further economic liberalisation with resulting privatisation of public services and will serve to bypass the direct democratic control of the Swiss people.
