Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) strongly condemned United States decision to relocate the US embassy to occupied Jerusalem. In a statement to the press on 13 May, 2018 CPB president Mujahidul Islam Selim and General Secretary Md. Shah Alam said, to relocate US Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem in not merely an administrative decision. Rather it is definitely a provocative and war mongering move by US imperialism. CPB leaders said, it is a gross violation of United Nations resolution on Palestine and this dangerous decision will negatively affect the ongoing peace process based on two state solution regarding Palestine crisis.

CPB leaders in their statement also said, by blatantly ignoring majority opinion of international community the US government is going to relocate their Embassy in Jerusalem. This has again exposed that western demagogues of democracy and peace have no value before the vested interest imperialism. US preparations for the opening ceremony of the embassy as a unashamed aggression on the Palestinian people and their holy sites.

CPB leaders urged to government of Bangladesh to condemn US decision to relocate their Embassy in Jerusalem. CPB also called upon international community to oppose the US decision and mobilize international opinion to recognize East Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine.
