In a world on fire, the people must become the protagonists of developments

The first event of the year, the interruption of the flow of Russian gas to the EU via Ukraine, is another episode in the ongoing energy war. “The government is not worried,” the bourgeois staffs keep repeating, while at the same time they talk about “a possible increase in energy prices” and “a blow to the EU’s competitiveness”.

What they mean is that energy poverty and more expensive goods will require people to dig deep into their pockets again. The electricity bills for January are up to 21% higher than in the previous month. It turns out that involvement in the imperialist war and the “national goal” of geo-strategic enhancement demands sacrifices from the people. But it also creates opportunities for the shipowners and energy groups, which are breaking one profitability record after another, according to the latest figures.

One only has to look at the jigsaw puzzle that the government is putting together with the help of PASOK and SYRIZA. While the Kiev government cut off the flow of Russian fuel to the EU markets, the Greek government obtained US LNG for the first time through the Revithussa terminal and the Vertical Corridor. The Vertical Corridor was also discussed during the recent contacts between the government and Serbia at the EU-Western Balkans Summit. This Vertical Corridor was the focus of a visit to Greece at the end of October by the US Under Secretary of State for Energy, J. Pyatt, who spoke of a “dream of the US government” aimed to “ensure that Russia and Gazprom are not able to generate revenues from energy exports”.

At the same time, as efforts to re-route energy in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East are being stepped up against the backdrop of the massacre in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria, the government is rushing to sign up to all the Euro-Atlantic plans: From last week’s deal with Israel on “energy security in the East” to the recent pressure on Cyprus to go ahead with the Israel-Cyprus-Greece “Great Sea Interconnector” project, funded by the EU’s CEF and the US finance institution (DFC). In the same context, the NATO-inspired negotiations for “settlements” with Turkey, which is seen as essential in all versions of the energy map, as well as contacts and the forthcoming new trilateral with Egypt to advance Euro-Atlantic inspired energy projects such as “GREGY”, are proceeding. At the same time, the Prime Minister, on behalf of the shipowners, is quick to declare himself eager to “work with President Trump to find a win-win solution in the framework of US-Europe relations. For example, Europe will seek to import more LNG from the US."

Neither “distortions in the European electricity market”, nor a “natural phenomenon”, but the strategy of capital, served by all the bourgeois parties, is to blame for the very expensive electricity AND also for the huge risks that the plans to improve the position of the Greek bourgeoisie on the imperialist map entail.

From Ukraine to the Middle East: military involvement and business

At the beginning of the new year, the Greek government is once again sending arms to the Zelenskiy regime. After hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, firearms, armoured vehicles and millions of bullets, this time 24 US Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles are being sent, carried by frigates, with the familiar excuse that “they have been deemed operationally unnecessary and do not affect the deterrent capability of the Greek Armed Forces”.

At the same time, the US and Zelenskiy's request to send the Soviet-Russian designed S-300PMU-1, Tor-M1 and Osa-AK air defence systems, which the Greek Armed Forces possess, to Ukraine is always on the table. Not coincidentally, the Russian ambassador to Greece, A. Maslov, in a series of interviews over the past few days, has made sure to convey the message that these systems cannot be delivered without Moscow’s official consent.

From Ukraine to the Middle East, the involvement in Euro-Atlantic plans puts the people firmly in the sights of rival imperialist governments. US-NATO bases throughout the country are becoming a magnet for danger, while the government, with the support of PASOK – SYRIZA, is promoting their further upgrading.

The military personnel sent by the government sends thousands of kilometres away from the borders have also become the target of attacks: Almost a year after its first mission in the Red Sea and in the Gulf of Aden, the frigate “Hydra” will leave in the next 24 hours in order to participate for the second time in the EU operation “Aspides” against Houthi activity, for the needs of shipowners and transit business groups, as shown by the videos of the frigates in the role of … escorting the shipowners’ ships. Meanwhile, the government, which had taken over the command of the operation from the Greek EU Operations Headquarters (ESEEE) in Larissa, has taken the next step and asked that the Greek Armed Forces take over the command on board as well. All this in support of the USA, the EU and the murderous Israeli state, which is bombing Yemen and shamelessly warning that it will turn it into a “new Gaza”.

The people are paying dearly for the war economy...

The transition to the war economy has shown its consequences for the people from the very first moment: the budget surplus for 2024 and the amount to be allocated to NATO armament, which was voted a few days ago by ND - PASOK - SYRIZA - Greek Solution, have reached 7 billion each. The government sets higher targets for the collection of 70 billion in taxes for 2025.

There is no end to the bleeding of the people: increases in tolls, water bills, landfill charges and ferry tickets to support shipowners.

The economy agenda for 2025 is also clear: new tax tools that will bring small tradesmen to their knees, changes in the management of non-performing loans with regulations that will tighten the noose on indebted households in order to “further consolidate the banking sector”, and new compulsory private insurance for houses. The government is planning a “spending limit” for the people’s needs and has already methodized the way in which it will squeeze the people dry to strengthen the big business groups with a series of legal regulations.

All this is also a precondition for the positive ratings of the markets in the spring, for the cheap loans to the business groups, for the commitment of money from the Recovery Fund, for a share out of the 300 billion that the EU has earmarked for the war economy, “cutting from wages and pensions”, as NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte says.

They are also the “national goals” of the government and the rest of the bourgeois parties, first of all the decayed social democracy, PASOK, SYRIZA and others, which are worried about uncertainties and risks and who promote “stability” that crushes the people.

They are preparing themselves: They are taking new repressive measures, they are posing false dilemmas between “progressive” and “conservative” defenders of the capitalist system, they are trying to channel popular discontent into political forces that are painless for the system, they are utilizing the issue of the election of a new President of the Republic as a distraction, etc.

In the new year, the people can become the protagonist of developments with their organized struggle. In this world set ablaze by capitalist crises, wars and competition, the people can only be victorious on the path of conflict with and overthrow of the decayed capitalist system, by multiplying the seedbeds of resistance, by intensifying the struggle for their own needs, so that the strategy of capital faces obstacles in all aspects.

протагонистом должен стать народ

Прекращение поставок российского газа в ЕС через Украину - первое событие нового года, еще один эпизод продолжающейся энергетической войны. "Правительство это не беспокоит", - с утра до вечера трезвонят буржуазные штабы, и в то же время они говорят о возможном повышении цен на электроэнергию и ударе по конкурентоспособности ЕС.

Это означает, что народ вновь будет испытывать  энергетическую бедность, а также столкнется с ростом цен на товары. Уже с первых дней января начали приходить возросшие счета за электричество до 21% по сравнению с предыдущим месяцем. Получается, что участие в империалистической войне и «национальная цель» - повышение геостратегического  статуса - требуют жертв со стороны народа...

А также дают шанс судовладельцам и энергетическим компаниям, которые бьют один за другим рекорды по прибыли, согласно оглашенным на днях результатам.

Нетрудно разглядеть «пазл», который складывает правительство при поддержке  партий ПАСОК и СИРИЗА: как только правительство Киева прекратило транзит российского газа на рынки ЕС, оно тут же впервые получило сжиженный природный газ из США через Грецию (через терминал Ревитуса и «Вертикальный коридор»). Вопрос использования «Вертикального газового коридора» обсуждался также в ходе недавних контактов греческого правительства с Сербией, на саммите ЕС по Балканам.«Вертикальный коридор» был в центре внимания визита в Грецию в конце октября заместителя государственного секретаря США по вопросам энергетики Джеффри Пайетта, который говорил о мечте правительства США лишить Россию и "Газпром" доходов от экспорта электроэнергии.

По мере того как прилагаются усилия по перекройке энергетических путей в Восточном Средиземноморье и на Ближнем Востоке на фоне кровопролития в Палестине, Ливане и Сирии, правительство спешит участвовать во всех евроатлантических проектах: от подписания на прошлой неделе соглашения с Израилем об «энергетической безопасности в Восточном Средиземноморье», до недавнего давления на Кипр, чтобы он продолжил участие в проекте соединения энергосистемы Израиля, Кипра и Греции («GreatSeaInterconnector»), который получит финансирование из фонда ЕС - CEF и государственного фонда США (DFC). В этом же контексте совершаются на натовский лад сделки с Турцией, которая считается необходимым игроком во всех вариантах развития энергетической карты, а также идут контакты и обсуждается новое трехстороннее соглашение с Египтом по продвижению евроатлантических энергетических проектов, таких как «Gregy». Кроме того, премьер-министр от имени судовладельцев спешит заявить, что для развития отношений между США и Европой он готов работать с президентом Трампом, чтобы найти взаимовыгодное для всех решение.

Таким образом, речь идет не о «погрешностях на европейском рынке электроэнергии» и не о «естественном явлении», а о стратегии капитала, которую поддерживают все буржуазные партии, ведь именно она ведет к подорожанию электроэнергии, а также к огромным рискам, которые несут планы по повышению статуса страны на империалистической карте мира.

От Украины до Ближнего Востока:  участие в войне и бизнес

С начала нового года правительство вновь отправляет оружие режиму Зеленского. До этого на Украину были отправлены сотни тысяч артиллерийских снарядов, орудий, бронетехники и миллионы патронов, а на этот раз правительство собирается отправить 24 корабельные зенитные ракеты типа «SeaSparrow», американского производства, под известным предлогом, что «они были признаны ненужными и не влияют на сдерживающие возможности греческих вооруженных сил».

При этом США и Зеленский просят отправить на Украину ЗРК советско-российского производства С-300ПМУ-1, «Тор-М1» и «Оса-АК», находящиеся на вооружении ВС Греции.Не случайно в ряде интервью, данных в последние дни послом России в Афинах А. Масловым, он постарался дать понять, что вышеуказанные  зенитно-ракетные системы не могут быть переданы без официального согласия Москвы.

Участие в евроатлантических планах - от Украины до Ближнего Востока - ставит народы под прицел конкурирующих между собой империалистических правительств. Американо-натовские военные базы по всей стране становятся магнитом притяжения опасностей, а правительство при поддержке ПАСОК-СИРИЗА проводит их модернизацию.

Личный состав Вооруженных Сил, отправляемый правительством за тысячи километров от границ страны, также становится объектом нападений. Почти через год после участия в первой миссии в Красном море и Аденском заливе фрегат «Гидра» в ближайшие 24 часа отправится во второй раз для участия в операции ЕС «Аспидес» по защите судов от атак йеменских хуситов, для удовлетворения нужд судовладельцев и транзитных компаний, о чем свидетельствуют видеоролики, на которых фрегаты сопровождают корабли судовладельцев. Тем временем правительство, которое с самого начала взяло на себя управление операцией  из Греческого оперативного штаба ЕС (ESEEE), базирующегося в Ларисе, предприняло следующий шаг: обратилось с просьбой о взятии греческими вооруженными силами на себя управление военно-морской операцией.Таким образом оно подставляет плечо США, ЕС и преступному государству Израиль, которое бомбит Йемен и без зазрения совести предупреждает, что превратит его в «новую Газу».

Народ дорого платит за военную экономику...

Обратной стороной той же медали является переход к военной экономике, последствия которого ощущаются с первого дня: бюджет в 2024 году был исполнен с профицитом в 7 миллиардов евро, столько же миллиардов евро предусмотрено в госбюджете на 2025 год на натовское вооружение, за которое несколько дней назад проголосовали НД, ПАСОК, СИРИЗА, Эллиники лиси. Правительство ставит перед собой более высокие цели -  собрать 70 миллиардов евро налоговых поступлений за 2025 год.

Страданиям народа нет конца: повышается плата за проезд в общественном транспорте, растут платежи за воду, за мусор, повышается стоимость билетов на паромы для поддержки судовладельцев.

Повестка дня в экономике на 2025 год также очевидна: новые налоговые инструменты, которые поставят на колени мелких предпринимателей; изменения по урегулированию проблемных кредитов ради «дальнейшего оздоровления банковского сектора», которые еще больше затянут долговую петлю на шее домохозяйств; а также еще одно новшество - обязательное частное страхование жилья.Правительство прогнозирует «лимит расходов» на нужды народа, хотя с помощью ряда законодательных мер оно уже определило, каким образом будет выжимать из него все соки, чтобы укреплять крупные предпринимательские компании.

Впрочем, все это является предварительным условием для позитивной оценки рынков весной, выдачи дешевых кредитов бизнесу, денег из Фонда восстановления, предоставления ЕС 300 миллиардов для военной экономики путем «урезания зарплат и пенсий», как говорит генеральный секретарь НАТО Марк Рютте.

А также это национальные цели правительства и остальных буржуазных партий, прежде всего гнилой социал-демократии - ПАСОК, СИРИЗА и других партий,  беспокоящихся о неопределенности и рисках и продвигающих стабильность, которая гробит народ.

Они принимают свои меры: вводят новые репрессивные законы, навязывают ложное разделение на «прогрессивных» и «консервативных» защитников капиталистической системы, пытаются направить народное недовольство в безвредное для системы политическое русло, используют тему выборов нового Президента Республики, сбивая с толку людей и т. д.

Ведя организованную борьбу в новом году, народ может стать протагонистом событий.В этом мире, охваченном пожаром капиталистических кризисов, войн, конкуренции, он может стать победителем, если встанет на путь борьбы за свержение прогнившей капиталистической системы и будет умножать очаги сопротивления, повсеместно бороться за удовлетворение своих проблем, везде давать отпор стратегии капитала.

Dans un monde qui s'embrase, le peuple doit se mettre en avant

Premier événement de l'année, l'interruption du flux de gaz russe vers l'UE via l'Ukraine, un nouvel épisode de la guerre énergétique en cours. «Le gouvernement ne s’inquiète pas», disent les états-majors bourgeois du matin au soir, tout en parlant d'une «possible augmentation des prix de l'énergie» et d'un «coup porté à la compétitivité de l'UE».

Ils veulent dire que les peuples paieront le prix à nouveau, avec de la pauvreté énergétique, mais aussi avec des biens encore plus chers. D'ailleurs, dès le premier instant, les factures d'électricité pour le mois de janvier sont jusqu'à 21% plus élevées que le mois précédent. Il s'avère que la participation à la guerre impérialiste et  l'«objectif national» d'une amélioration géostratégique exige des sacrifices de la part du peuple...

Mais cette participation crée aussi des «opportunités» pour les armateurs et les groupes énergétiques, qui battent les uns après les autres les records de rentabilité, selon les résultats publiés ces jours-ci.

Pour mieux comprendre la situation, Il suffit de regarder le «puzzle» que le gouvernement grec est en train de compléter avec l'aide du PASOK et de SYRIZA: alors que le gouvernement de Kiev a cessé le transit de gaz russe vers les marchés de l'UE, il a pour la première fois obtenu du GNL des États-Unis par le biais du terminal GNL de Revithoussa, en Grèce, et du «corridor vertical». Ce «corridor vertical» a également été évoqué lors des récents contacts entre le gouvernement grec et la Serbie, lors du sommet UE-Balkans occidentaux. Ce «corridor vertical» a été mis à l’épicentre de la visite en Grèce, fin octobre, du secrétaire d'État adjoint américain aux ressources énergetiques, G. Pyatt, qui a parlé d'un «rêve du gouvernement américain» consistant à «s'assurer que la Russie et Gazprom ne soient pas en mesure de tirer des revenus des exportations d'énergie».

Alors que les efforts pour redessiner les routes de l'énergie en Méditerranée orientale et au Moyen-Orient s'intensifient sur fond de massacres en Palestine, au Liban et en Syrie, le gouvernement s'empresse de participer à tous les plans euro-atlantiques: De l'accord conclu la semaine dernière avec Israël sur la «sécurité énergétique en Méditerranée orientale» aux récentes pressions exercées sur Chypre pour qu'elle poursuive le projet d'interconnexion énergétique entre Israël, Chypre et la Grèce («Great Sea Interconnector»), financé par le fonds «MIE» de l’UE, ainsi que par un fonds de l’État américain (DFC). Dans le même contexte, les marchandages du type OTAN pour des «arrangements» entre la Grèce et la Turquie, cette dernière étant considérée comme indispensable dans toutes les versions de la carte énergétique, se poursuivent, de même que les contacts et la nouvelle trilatérale qui aura lieu avec l'Égypte, pour faire avancer les projets énergétiques d'inspiration euro-atlantique tels que le «GREGY». Parallèlement, le Premier ministre grec, au nom des armateurs, n'a pas à manqué à prôner «la possibilité de travailler avec le président Trump pour trouver une solution gagnant-gagnant dans le contexte de la relation entre les États-Unis et l'Europe. Par exemple, l'Europe cherchera à importer davantage de GNL en provenance des États-Unis.»

Il ne s'agit donc ni de «distorsions sur le marché européen de l'électricité» ni d'un «phénomène naturel»: c'est la stratégie du capital, à laquelle souscrivent tous les partis bourgeois, qui est responsable de l'électricité très chère et des risques énormes que les plans d’une amélioration de la position de la bourgoisie grecque sur la carte impérialiste entraînent.

De l'Ukraine au Moyen-Orient, implication militaire et business

Au début de la nouvelle année, le gouvernement grec fournit à nouveau des armes au régime  Zelensky. Après des centaines de milliers d'obus d'artillerie,  de fusils d’assault, de véhicules blindés et des millions de cartouches, ce sont cette fois 24 missiles antiaériens Sea Sparrow de fabrication américaine,  transportés par des frégates, qui sont envoyés, sous le prétexte habituel qu’«Ils ont été jugés inutiles d'un point de vue opérationnel et n'affectent pas les capacités de dissuasion des forces armées grecques».

Dans le même temps, la «demande» des États-Unis et de Zelensky pour que la Grèce envoie à l'Ukraine des systèmes de défense aérienne S-300, PMU-1, Tor-M1 et Osa-AK de conception russo-soviétique des forces armées grecques est toujours sur la table. Le fait que l'ambassadeur russe en Grèce, A. Maslov, a tenu à faire savoir que ces systèmes ne pouvaient être livrés sans l'accord officiel de Moscou, dans une série d'interviews données ces derniers jours, n’est pas dû au hasard.

De l'Ukraine au Moyen-Orient, l'implication dans les projets euro-atlantiques place constamment le peuple dans la ligne de mire des gouvernements impérialistes rivaux. Les bases des États-Unis et de l'OTAN à travers la Grèce sont la cible de représailles, tandis que le gouvernement de la ND, avec le soutien du PASOK et de SYRIZA, encourage la poursuite de leur modernisation.

Les forces armées que le gouvernement envoie à des milliers de kilomètres des frontières grecques deviennent également la cible d'attaques: Près d'un an après sa première mission en mer Rouge et dans le golfe d'Aden, la frégate «Hydra» appareillera dans les prochains jours afin de participer pour la deuxième fois à l'opération de l'UE «Aspides», contre l'activité des Houthis, pour les besoins des armateurs et des groupes monopolistiques de transit, comme le révèlent les vidéos des frégates dans le rôle d’«escorte» des navires des armateurs. Entre-temps, le gouvernement - qui avait pris en charge le commandement de l'opération par le quartier général de Larissa (Quartier général grec des opérations de l'Union européenne) - a fait un pas de plus en demandant que les forces armées grecques prennent en charge le commandement de l'opération en mer. Et tout cela en soutenant les États-Unis, l'UE et l'État meurtrier d'Israël, qui bombarde le Yémen et avertit sans vergogne qu'il en fera un «nouveau Gaza».

Le peuple paie cher l'économie de guerre...

Le passage à l'économie de guerre montre ses effets dès le premier instant, comme le montre l'excédent budgétaire «sanglant» en 2024, qui a atteint 7 milliards en 2024, tout comme les dépenses d'armement de l'OTAN, votés par la ND, le PASOK, SYRIZA, ainsi que la Solution Héllénique il y a quelques jours au parlement. Le gouvernement vise également à collecter 70 milliards d'euros d'impôts en 2025.

La saignée infligée au peuple poursuit: augmentation des tarifs des péages, augmentation du prix de l’eau, augmentation du «taxe sur l’enfouissement de déchets», augmentation du prix des billets de ferry pour soutenir les armateurs.

L'agenda de 2025 concernant l'économie est également indicatif: de nouveaux «outils» fiscaux qui mettront encore plus à genoux les petits professionnels, des changements dans la gestion des prêts «non performants», avec des réglementations qui resserreront encore plus l'étau autour des ménages endettés, afin de «consolider davantage le secteur bancaire», nouvelles assurances privées obligatoires pour les habitations. Le gouvernement prévoit une «limite de dépenses» pour les besoins du peuple, et a déjà prévu la façon dont il va pressurer le peuple pour renforcer les grands groupes capitalistes, avec une série de mesures législatives.

Tous ces éléments sont des conditions préalables à une «notation» positive des marchés au printemps, à l'octroi de prêts bon marché aux groupes capitalistes, au financement du Fonds européen pour la relance, à la part des 300 milliards  pour l'économie de guerre que l'UE accorde, «en réduisant les salaires et les retraites», comme le signale le secrétaire général de l'OTAN, Mark Rutte.

Ce sont également les «objectifs nationaux» du gouvernement et du reste des partis bourgeois, en premier lieu de la social-démocratie pourrie, du PASOK, de SYRIZA et d'autres, qui s'inquiètent des «incertitudes» et des risques et promeuvent une «stabilité» qui écrase le peuple.

Pour tout cela, ils préparent de nouvelles mesures répressives, ils créent de fausses dichotomies entre «progressistes» et «conservateurs», tous défenseurs du système capitaliste, ils essaient de piéger le mécontentement populaire dans des forces politiques inoffensives pour le système, ils utilisent la question de l'élection d'un nouveau président de la République pour faire diversion, etc.

Cette nouvelle année, le peuple, par sa lutte organisée, peut devenir le protagoniste des développements. Dans ce «monde qui s'embrase» par les crises capitalistes, les guerres at les antagonismes, le peuple ne peut sortir victorieux que sur la voie du conflit et du renversement du système capitaliste pourri. En multipliant partout les foyers de résistance, en intensifiant partout la lutte pour ses propres besoins, pour que partout la stratégie du capital soit entravée.
