To the CC of the Portuguese CP

Dear comrades,

We have been informed by reports that an unacceptable and orchestrated anti-communist attack against the PCP is taking place in your country. Using every means, it seeks to incriminate the action of the communists, the activity of the labor movement, and recently the Avante Festival under the pretext of observing the measures for the pandemic.

The bourgeoisie in every country, as well as in Greece, calculatedly fosters the orgy of employer arbitrariness in the workplace. In order to serve their profitability, the big employers trample even the most basic measures of workers' protection from the pandemic in the workplace, leaving the public health system defenseless. At the same time, in an effort to create a climate of disorientation, they theaten speaking about individual responsibility and targeting the actions of communists that reveal the anti-popular policies, supporting the interests of the capital that is incompatible with the protection of public health and the protection of the people from the pandemic. Their strategic goal is to make the people bear the brunt of this capitalist crisis as well, by hitting the communists and workers' - people's movement. No matter what they do, their reactionary plans will fail.

Comrades, the KKE denounces the anti-communist attack against the PCP and expresses its full solidarity with your party.

MENSAJE DE SOLIDARIDAD DEL KKE CON EL PARTIDO COMUNISTA PORTUGUÉS

Queridos camaradas:

Nos hemos informado que en su país está en desarrollo un despreciable ataque anticomunista orquestado contra el Partido Comunista Portugués. Se emplean todos los medios con el fin de incriminar la acción de los comunistas, las actividades del movimiento obrero y recientemente la Fiesta de Avante utilizando como pretexto la toma de medidas contra la pandemia.

La burguesía en todos los países, igual que en Grecia, está fomentando de manera planificada la arbitrariedad patronal desenfrenada en los centros de trabajo por los grandes patrones. Para servir su rentabilidad está pisoteando incluso las medidas más básicas en los centros de trabajo para la protección de los trabajadores contra la pandemia, deja al sistema de salud público desprotegido. Mientras tanto, con el fin de desorientar acusa al pueblo invocando exclusivamente a la responsabilidad individual. Pone en el punto de mira la acción de los comunistas que revelan la política antipopular y apoya los intereses del capital que son incompatibles con la protección de la salud pública y con la protección del pueblo frente a la pandemia. Su objetivo estratégico es golpear a los comunistas y al movimiento obrero popular, para facilitar que la carga de esta crisis de los capitalistas recaiga sobre el pueblo.

Hagan lo que hagan, sus planes reaccionarios fracasarán. Camaradas, el KKE condena el ataque anticomunista contra el Partido Comunista Portugués y expresa su plena solidaridad con su partido.
