Unveiling of monuments to the Democratic Army of Greece

On Sunday 27 October, in the village of Kottas in the prefecture of Florina, the CC of the KKE organised an event and unveiled a monument on the site where, a few years ago, the mass grave of 311 partisans of the Democratic Army of Greece (DSE) was discovered. The struggle of the DSE (1946–1949) was the climax of the class struggle in Greece in the 20^th century, when the armed people under the leadership of the KKE clashed with the local bourgeoisie and its imperialist allies, Great Britain and the USA.

The GS of the CC of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, unveiled the monument and stated to the media the following:

“This event is in honour of the heroic fighters, the 311 dead of the DSE, who gave their lives here on the heights around the village of Kottas, for the freedom and honour of the people in the most climactic moment of the class struggle in Greece in those years. We honour their memory. We continue their fight, we continue the struggle.”

Later the same day, a similar event took place in the village of Kallithea. in the area of the Prespes lakes, where a monument was unveiled with the names of 1,600 DSE fighters who fell in the battles and who came from the 48 villages of the Prespes region and around Florina.

В воскресенье, 27 октября, ЦК КПГ провел торжественное мероприятие в честь открытия памятника борцам Демократической армии Греции (ДАГ) в деревне Коттас (округ Флорина), на месте, где несколько лет назад была обнаружена братская могила  с останками 311 партизан ДАГ. Борьба ДАГ (1946-1949 г.г.) явилась кульминацией классовой борьбы в Греции в 20 веке, когда вооруженный народ под руководством КПГ вступил в противостояние с местной буржуазией и ее империалистическими союзниками, Великобританией и США. 

Открыл памятник Генсек ЦК КПГ Димитрис Куцумбас, который в своем заявлении СМИ отметил: «Данное мероприятие является данью уважения 311 героям-борцам ДАГ, отдавшим свою жизнь здесь, в горах, у деревни Коттас, за свободу и достоинство народа  в самый решающий момент классовой борьбы в Греции тех лет. Мы чтим их память. Мы продолжаем их дело, продолжаем борьбу».  

Позже в тот же день аналогичное мероприятие состоялось в деревне Каллифея  в районе озер Преспес, где был открыт памятник, на котором высечены имена 1600 бойцов ДАГ, павших в боях в те годы, родом из 48 деревень, расположенных в районе Преспес и  вокруг Флорины.

Inauguración de monumentos al Ejército Democrático de Grecia

El domingo 27 de octubre, el Comité Central del KKE celebró un acto e inauguró un monumento en el pueblo de Kottas en el distrito de Flórina, en un lugar donde hace unos años se descubrió una fosa común de 311 combatientes del Ejército Democrático de Grecia (DSE). La lucha del DSE (1946-1949) fue el momento culminante de la lucha de clases en Grecia en el siglo 20, cuando el pueblo armado bajo la dirección del KKE se enfrentó a la burguesía doméstica y sus aliados imperialistas, Gran Bretaña y EE.UU.

La inauguración del monumento corrió a cargo del Secretario General del CC del KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, quien dijo a los medios de comunicación:

“Este acto fue un debido honor a los heroicos combatientes, a los 311 muertos del DSE que dieron su vida en estas alturas, alrededor del pueblo de Kottas por la libertad y el honor del pueblo en el momento culminante de la lucha de clases en Grecia en aquellos años. Rendimos honor a su memoria. ¡Continuamos su lucha!”

Más tarde el mismo día, se celebró un acto similar en el pueblo Kalithea, en la zona de Prespes, donde se inauguró el monumento en que se inscribieron los nombres de 1.600 combatientes del DSE caídos en las batallas y procedentes de los 48 pueblos de la zona de Prespes y los alrededores de Flórina.

Le dimanche 27/10/2024, le KKE a organisé un événement pour inaugurer un monument dans le village de Kottas, dans la préfecture de Florina, à l'endroit où, il y a quelques années, une tombe collective de 311 partisans de l'Armée Démocratique de Grèce (DSE) a été découverte. La lutte de la DSE (1946-1949) a été le point culminant de la lutte des classes en Grèce au 20e siècle, lorsque le peuple armé sous la direction du KKE a affronté la bourgeoisie locale et ses alliés impérialistes, la Grande-Bretagne et les États-Unis.

Le Secrétaire Général du CC du KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, a inauguré le monument.

"Cet événement fut un hommage que nous devions rendre aux combattants héroïques, les 311 morts de la DSE, qui ont donné leur vie ici, sur les hauteurs autour du village de Kottas, pour la liberté et l'honneur du peuple, au moment le plus fort de la lutte des classes en Grèce, ces années-là. Nous honorons leur mémoire. Nous poursuivons leur bataille, nous poursuivons la lutte", a-t-il indiqué aux médias.

Plus tard dans la journée, un événement similaire a eu lieu dans le village de Kallithea, dans la région des lacs de Prespes, où un monument portant les noms de 1.600 combattants de la DSE tombés au combat, originaires de 48 villages de la région de Prespes et des environs de Florina, a été inauguré.

Inaugurazione di monumenti per l'Esercito Democratico di Grecia

Domenica 27 ottobre, nel villaggio di Kottas, nella provincia di Florina, il CC del KKE ha organizzato una manifestazione e ha inaugurato un monumento nel luogo in cui, qualche anno fa, è stata scoperta la fossa comune di 311 combattenti dell'Esercito Democratico di Grecia (DSE). La lotta del DSE (1946-1949) ha rappresentato il culmine della lotta di classe in Grecia nel XX secolo, quando il popolo armato sotto la guida del KKE si è scontrato con la borghesia locale e i suoi alleati imperialisti, Gran Bretagna e Stati Uniti.Il Segretario Generale del CC del KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas ha inaugurato il monumento e ha dichiarato ai media quanto segue: 

"Questo evento è in onore degli eroici combattenti, i 311 morti del DSE, che hanno dato la loro vita qui sulle alture intorno al villaggio di Kottas, per la libertà e l'onore del popolo nel momento più culminante della lotta di classe in Grecia in quegli anni. Onoriamo la loro memoria. Continuiamo la loro lotta, continuiamo la lotta". 

Più tardi, lo stesso giorno, un evento simile si è svolto nel villaggio di Kallithea, nella zona dei laghi di Prespes, dove è stato inaugurato un monumento con i nomi di 1.600 combattenti del DSE caduti nelle battaglie e provenienti dai 48 villaggi della regione di Prespes e dei dintorni di Florina.

تدشين  نصبين تذكاريين لجيش اليونان الديمقراطي

أقامت اللجنة المركزية للحزب الشيوعي اليوناني يوم الأحد 27\10 تظاهرة تدشين لنصب تذكاري في قرية كوتاس في محافظة فلورينا، في النقطة التي كان قد عُثر فيها قبل بضع سنوات على مقبرة جماعية لـ 311 من مقاتلي جيش اليونان الديمقراطي. هذا و كان كفاح جيش اليونان الديمقراطي (1946-1949) قد شكَّل ذروة الصراع الطبقي في اليونان في القرن العشرين، عندما اشتبك الشعب المسلح بقيادة الحزب الشيوعي اليوناني مع الطبقة البرجوازية المحلية وحلفائها الإمبرياليين: بريطانيا العظمى والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

دشَّن الأمين العام للجنة المركزية للحزب الشيوعي اليوناني، ذيميتريس كوتسوباس، النصب التذكاري و أدلى بالتالي نحو وسائل الإعلام: «كانت هذه الفعالية تكريماً مستحقاً للمقاتلين الأبطال، لقتلى جيش اليونان الديمقراطي اﻠ311، الذين ضحوا بحياتهم هنا على الهضاب المحيطة بقرية كوتاس من أجل حرية وشرف الشعب في ذروة الصراع الطبقي في اليونان خلال تلك السنوات. إننا نكرِّمُ ذكراهم. نواصل صراعهم، نواصل الكفاح».

وفي وقت لاحق من اليوم ذاته، أقيمت فعالية مماثلة في قرية كاليثيِّا في منطقة بحيرات بريسبيس، حيث تم الكشف عن نصب تذكاري يحمل اسم 1600 مقاتل لجيش اليونان الديمقراطي الذين سقطوا في المعركة والذين تتحدَّرُ أصولهم من 48 قرية في منطقة بريسبيس و من محيط محافظة فلورينا.
