The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India issued the following statement on February 28, 2019:

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India demands the Pakistan government, to release and return Wing Commander Abhinandan, immediately. The Pakistan government should arrest Jaish chief Masood Azhar and handover him to India, so that there will be proof of suppressing terrorist groups by Pakistan government.

CPI rejects the criticism of ministers Arun Jaitley and Prakash Javadekar on opposition parties. Referring that Pakistan is using the opposition parties criticism is a cheap type of criticism. Prime Minister Modi’s election speech at Rajasthan with photographs, posters of slained soldiers.  Yeddyurappa’s open calculations that how many seats they will win due to air strike are ample proofs of politicalising the army action. This is the time for unity of the nation. Government and ruling party are supposed to show the lead which is not being done. BJP has to apologise the nation for politicalisation of sacrifices of our soldiers. Government has to apologise to the soldiers and the nation for refusing air transport on the fateful day at Pulwama despite intelligence inputs.
