The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India issued the following statement today (on April 11, 2022) strongly condemning the violent attacks on JNU students over eating of foods of their choice by RSS-ABVP goons:

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India strongly condemns the violent and vicious attacks let loose by RSS-BJP-ABVP goons on the innocent unarmed students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) over their eating food of their choice on April 10 in the campus.

This is another glaring example of RSS hatred and contempt for diversity of the country. It wants to dictate as to what one should eat, wear and the language in which one should speak.

The RSS-BJP-ABVP combine, as warned by the Party recently, are out to destroy all those who stand for secular values, independent and progressive thinking students. Even girl students are not spared.

The Party warns the anti-people, divisive and anti-national forces to stop their cruel nefarious attacks on students.

The Party appeals to all secular democratic forces to come out on the streets in protest.
