CP of India, CPI Strongly Condemns Attacks on CPI (M) Party Offices in Tripura

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India issued the following statement today (on September 9, 2021):

For last few months Tripura witnessed violence unleashed by BJP-RSS goons against the opposition parties mainly against the CPI (M) and other Left Parties.

Yesterday many offices including the state committee office of the CPI (M) in Agartala ransacked and torched by BJP goons in the presence of the Police. The Journalist and media persons were also attacked. More than 100 workers who belong to CPI (M) have been wounded.

This is not the first time that these kinds of attacks are taking place. Few months before CPI state office was also ransacked by the BJP goons.

CPI calls upon the progressive and democratic forces to oppose and protest such brazen attacks on democracy.

CPI demands that the state government should take appropriate steps to stop violence unleashed by BJP-RSS combine.

CPI General Secretary D Raja spoke to Com. Manik Sarkar, former Chief Minister of Tripura and leader of CPI (M) and expressed CPI’s solidarity. Left will unitedly resist the violence of BJP-RSS combine.
