At the occasion of 134th commemoration of the First May, Communist Party of Pakistan honors and corroborates the imperishable sacrifices of the workers of first may 1886, and solemnly declares that the Party and all its fronts will continue the struggle in footsteps of the gallant proletariat. First time in history because of Corona pandemic and general lockdown, activities of Communist Party and its fronts are unable to commemorate the event through rallies, seminars and public meetings but as being part of the international struggle against capitalist system, Communist Party of Pakistan and its fronts will honor their commitments for socialist revolution and firmly follow the path of struggle and sacrifices of its martyrs and heroes Comrade Hassan Naser, Comrade Nazir Abbasi and Comrade Taj Mohammad.

We are commemorating event of 1st May in a situation where International forces and their boot lechers who claim the success of murderous system, want to save the dying system through unsustainable means. In reality this is multiplication of the deadly crimes against humanity. They are planning to do so by creating circumstances for large scale deadly wars through most brutal forms of exploitation, hunger, disease, joblessness, social political and financial chaos but global community will not tolerate all this today.
The statement further says "Today more than 90% of the industrial units of Pakistan's workers are refused their legal right of minimum wage, appointment letter, eight hours work day, health and safety at work place, social security, pensions and common bargain through trade unions. Strict undeclared ban is imposed on Trade unions. As a result hardly 2.5% workers are organized in Trade Unions. The remaining majority is the victim of third party contract system. Labor Laws are just laughing stock. Workers bonded to unorganized sector like daily wage workers, workers of fisheries, agricultural fields, construction and home based workers fall in the definition of slavery. Anti people, anti worker Elite of capitalism, feudal and religious clerics appointed through the consented efforts of power brokers, are impudently implementing the agenda of imperial financial agencies, IMF and World bank to to take away the remaining amenity.
In the name of privatization important service sectors Transport, Electricity, Gas, Water, Education and Health are being surrendered to business tycoons.
In these miserable conditions Corona Pandemic has further intoxicated the lives of workers, peasantry and general public. Non- seriousness and deficient measures of Federal Government are proving to be devastating.
Workers are facing drastic hazards of health and safety at work place and factories in pretext of Pandemic has licensed the industrialist to dismiss the workers, send them on leave without pay, layoff, downsizing in violation of labor laws.
Communist Party of Pakistan on this historical moment of 1st May appeals workers, peasantry and all underprivileged class to confront Class, National, Religious and Gender oppression of anti worker, anti people ruling class, appeals to stand out and struggle without discrimination of color, cast, religion, and sect. In this hard time Communist Party of Pakistan is standing shoulder to shoulder with you.
