The Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS) joins the rest of the world in condemning the apartheid state of Israel for its continued occupation of Palestine and the brutalising of the people of Palestine by the same apartheid state. The CPS will take part in the Israeli Apartheid Week 2019. In Swaziland it will be hosted by the Swaziland National Union of students (SNUS), joined by trade unions, other progressive forces, faith-based groups, including the Church.

The Israeli Apartheid Week is an annual international series of self-organized events (including rallies, lectures, cultural performances, music shows, sports events, films and workshops) that seeks to raise awareness of Israel's apartheid policies, violations of international law and human rights abuses towards the indigenous Palestinian people. The campaign takes place in over 250 cities across the world and will for the first be also held in Swaziland.

The theme of this year’s campaign is “Africa For Palestine”. The focus, among other things, is on the historic relationship between African liberation struggles and that of the Palestinians, as well as Israel’s current oppression and expulsion of African refugees.
