TKP 14th Congress Turkey Conference Convened: STRENGTHENING FOR REVOLUTIONARY TASKS, THROUGH STRENGTHENING TOWARDS REVOLUTION AND SOCIALISM

Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), 14th Congress Turkey Conference was held on the weekend of 7-8 September with the title ‘STRENGTHENING FOR REVOLUTIONARY TASKS, THROUGH STRENGTHENING TOWARDS REVOLUTION AND SOCIALISM’. Nearly 400 delegates from all over Turkey representing TKP organisations and central boards participated in the conference. 

The Political Report including a comprehensive analysis and evaluation on the Palestinian resistance and Israeli aggression; Turkey’s foreign policy in the shadow of the war in Ukraine; communism and the international arena; communist approach and our tasks in the Kurdish issue; migration problem and the tasks of the party; the transformation in Turkey’s economy and the field of class struggle; internal class struggle, revolutionary tasks and the intervention of TKP, as well as the revolutionary tasks of the TKP on these issues, was unanimously accepted by the delegates. 

At the congress, a series of organisational decisions were also signed in order to strengthen the TKP organisations in line with the tasks described by the Political Report. Continuing the struggle against the holdings, NATO and imperialist war and the struggle for a secular social system, starting from youth organisations entering into a fierce struggle against drugs, monitoring the steps taken by local governments on behalf of the working people and strengthening the TKP’s solidarity with Cuba by prioritising the struggle against the blockade were the resolutions added to the TKP’s road map for the coming period. 

The programme also included greetings and solidarity messages to the congress from several communist and workers’ parties from all over the world, namely Communist Party of Australia, Workers’ Party of Belgium, Communist Party of Britain, Communist Party of Chile, Communist Party of Cuba, Progressive Party of the Working People – AKEL (Cyprus), Communist Party of Denmark, Communist Revolutionary Party of France, German Communist Party, Communist Party of Greece, Hungarian Workers’ Party, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Tudeh Party of Iran, Communist Party of Ireland, The Workers’ Party of Ireland, Communist Front (Italy), Kuwaiti Progressive Movement, Laos People’s Revolutionary Party, Lebanese Communist Party, Communist Party of Mexico, New Communist Party of the Netherlands, Communist Party of Norway, Communist Party of Pakistan, Palestinian People’s Party, Philippine Communist Party [PKP-1930], Communist Party of Poland, Portuguese Communist Party, Communist Party Of The Russian Federation (KPRF), Russian Communist Workers’ Party – Communist Party of Soviet Union (RCWP-CPSU), Communists Of Serbia, Communists of Catalonia, Communist Party of the Workers of Spain, Sudanese Communist Party, Communist Party of Sweden, Communist Party (Switzerland), Syrian Communist Party, Communist Party USA, Party for Socialism and Liberation (USA). 

The first screening of the videos prepared for the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Turkey to be celebrated on 10 September and to be broadcasted on TKP media channels on Tuesday, 10 September was also held at the Turkey Conference. 

The meeting ended at the end of the two days in an exciting atmosphere accompanied by the Anthem ‘Partim’ (My Party). 14th Congress Political Reports and Resolutions will be shared with the public in the coming days.
