The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of the Workers of Spain (PCTE), in the 67th anniversary of the assault to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes garrisons, conveys to the people of Cuba and their leading force –the Communist Party of Cuba– its brotherly greetings and internationalist solidarity and reasserts its commitment to the defense of the Cuban Revolution through its participation in the movement of solidarity with Cuba in Spain.

This July 26, Day of National Rebellion, is held amidst a worldwide pandemic caused by the spread of Covid-19, which has taken the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and has evidenced the inability of capitalism to assure the tiniest levels of health for the working class and the people’s strata. This pandemic has proved before the eyes of the whole world the criminal nature of imperialism. While thousands of men and women were suffering its consequences, the imperialists were using the most despicable methods to crush the will of those peoples that do not submit to their designs.

Against the shabby and petty behavior of the United States and the European Union, which tried to use the needs caused by Coronavirus to advance the interests of their monopolies, Cuba raised again the banner of internationalism by showing to the peoples of the world the high ethical values that have inspired the Cuban Revolution and marked the historical process of construction of socialism. Nowadays, nobody questions the significant contribution of Cuba in containing Coronavirus any more, not only in the countries with fewer resources but also in the heart of Europe. The world has witnessed the parade of Cuban medical brigades that lent their services in 38 countries, where they represented with the utmost dignity the internationalist tradition of their people.

Cuba has shown how a small, economically and commercially blocked and sieged country is able to assure the health of its people against the pandemic and the shortage of technical means caused by the escalation of the blockade imposed by the United States. In spite of the economic significance of tourism for the country, the Covid-19 incidence in Cuba has been quite lower to its surroundings and the rest of European countries. The closure of borders soon declared by the revolutionary Government by placing the health of its people before any other criterion, the discipline of the Cuban people, the organizational labor of the Communist Party of Cuba and the mass organizations, and the strength of a health system that is an outcome of a universal educational system addressed to raise the material and spiritual quality of life of the people are the keys for the success of the Cuban Revolution in its battle against Coronavirus.

After overcoming the hardest stages of the health crisis, Cuba is facing an important battle for the economic recovery of the country. We trust that the measures included in the “Strategy of the country for the strengthening of the economy” –which reinforce the role of the socialist state companies and the national industry– will place Cuba under conditions to raise the welfare of its people, defeat the attempts of imperialism to choke the Cuban economy and boost the development of the country based on the implementation of scientific-technic innovation.

This July 26, the revolutionaries from all over the world, supportive men and women, the thousands of people who really felt thanks to the behavior of the Cuban doctors that “solidarity is the tenderness of the people”, we are celebrating together with the Cuban people the event that started the path towards a new stage in Latin America with the later triumph of the first socialist revolution in the continent. Today, there are more men and women added to the solidarity with Cuba. The ideological manipulation promoted by imperialism to discredit the Cuban revolutionary process and the conquests achieved by Socialist Cuba are resoundingly failing against the flawless behavior of the Cuban Revolution in the relations with the peoples of the world.

 SOLIDARIDAD CON CUBA ANTE EL 26 DE JULIO, DÍA DE LA REBELDÍA NACIONAL.

 El Buró Político del Partido Comunista de los Trabajadores de España (PCTE) en el 67º Aniversario del asalto a los cuarteles Moncada y Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, traslada al pueblo de Cuba y su fuerza dirigente el Partido Comunista de Cuba, su fraternal saludo y solidaridad internacionalista y reafirma su compromiso en la defensa de la Revolución Cubana a través de su participación en el movimiento solidaridad con Cuba en España.

Este 26 de Julio, día de la Rebeldía Nacional, se conmemora en el marco de la pandemia mundial provocada por la extensión del Covid-19 que se ha cobrado la vida de cientos de miles de personas y ha puesto de manifiesto la incapacidad del capitalismo para asegurar unos mínimos niveles de salud para la clase obrera y los sectores populares. Esta pandemia ha mostrado ante los ojos de todo el mundo el carácter criminal del imperialismo, que mientras miles de hombres y mujeres sufrían sus consecuencias, los imperialistas utilizaban los más viles métodos para doblegar la voluntad de aquellos pueblos que no se someten a sus designios.

Frente al ruin y mezquino proceder de Estados Unidos y la Unión Europea que trataron de utilizar las necesidades provocadas por el Coronavirus para hacer avanzar los intereses de sus monopolios, Cuba levantó de nuevo la bandera del internacionalismo mostrando ante los pueblos del mundo los elevados valores éticos que han inspirado la Revolución Cubana y que marcan el proceso histórico de construcción del socialismo. Hoy ya nadie pone en duda la importante contribución de Cuba en la contención del Coronavirus, no sólo en los países con menos recursos sino también en propio corazón de Europa. El mundo ha asistido al desfile de las brigadas médicas cubanas que prestaron servicio en 38 países, donde representaron con la mayor dignidad la tradición internacionalista de su pueblo.

Cuba ha demostrado cómo un pequeño país bloqueado y asediado económica y comercialmente es capaz de garantizar la salud de su pueblo frente a la pandemia y el desabastecimiento de medios técnicos provocado por el recrudecimiento del bloqueo impuesto por Estados Unidos. A pesar de la importancia económica del turismo para el país, la incidencia del Covid-19 en Cuba ha sido muy inferior a la de su entorno y el resto de países europeos. El cierre de fronteras decretado de forma temprana por el gobierno revolucionario anteponiendo la salud de su pueblo a cualquier otro criterio, la disciplina del pueblo cubano, la labor de organización realizada por el Partido Comunista de Cuba y las organizaciones de masas y la fortaleza de un sistema de salud que es consecuencia de un sistema educativo universal dirigido a elevar el nivel de vida material y espiritual del pueblo, son las claves del éxito de la Revolución Cubana en su batalla contra el Coronavirus.

Tras superar las etapas más duras de la crisis sanitaria, Cuba enfrenta una importante batalla por la recuperación económica del país. Confiamos en que las medidas recogidas en la “Estrategia del país para el fortalecimiento de la economía”, con las que se refuerza el papel de la empresa estatal socialista y la industria nacional, situarán a Cuba en condiciones de elevar el bienestar del pueblo, derrotar los intentos del imperialismo por asfixiar la economía cubana e impulsar el desarrollo del país sobre la base de la aplicación de la innovación científico-técnica.

Este 26 de Julio los revolucionarios y revolucionarias de todo el mundo, los hombres y mujeres  solidarios, las miles de personas que sintieron a través de la conducta de los médicos cubanos que realmente “la solidaridad es la ternura de los pueblos”, celebramos junto al pueblo cubano el acontecimiento que inició el camino de una nueva etapa en América Latina con el posterior triunfo de la primera revolución socialista en el continente. Hoy son más los hombres y mujeres que se suman a la solidaridad con Cuba, la manipulación ideológica impulsada por el imperialismo para desprestigiar el proceso revolucionario cubano y las conquistas alcanzadas por Cuba Socialista fracasan estrepitosamente ante intachable conducta de la Revolución Cubana en las relaciones con los pueblos del mundo.

El Partido Comunista de los Trabajadores de España (PCTE) se compromete a contribuir en el fortalecimiento del movimiento de solidaridad con Cuba en nuestro país y a responder solidariamente junto al pueblo cubano en la defensa del socialismo y la independencia de Cuba frente a cualquier agresión del imperialismo.
