Mahsa Amini's murder is a sign of a rotten system - down with barbarism, down with capitalism!

NCPN and CJB statement

The NCPN and CJB condemn the barbaric murder of 22-year-old MahsaAmini by the Iranian 'morality police' and the repression of the demonstrations by the Iranian people. The reactionary Islamic regime in Iran uses the brutal repression and discrimination against women to perpetuate the exploitation of the population. We support the Iranian people's struggle against the regime.

The murder of MahsaAmini cannot be separated from the reprehensible, reactionary views about women reproduced by the capitalist system through religion. Globally, a dangerous trend is visible that is directed against the achievements of women, especially female workers. This shows that imperialism is a rotten system that only brings more misery, exploitation and rot.

The working class of all countries should not get caught up in the imperialist ambitions of the US, the EU and NATO. The 'Euro-Atlantic' bloc is trying to address the death of MahsaAmini and the anger of the Iranian people to pursue its own plans in the region. Their hypocrisy in doing so is obvious, given their close ties with the criminal regime in Saudi Arabia, which similarly oppresses their female population. In addition, we see that in the US and several countries in the EU, women's rights are under severe pressure, such as the right to abortion. Moreover, the bourgeoisie of these countries profess women's rights with their mouths, but at the same time, they create the conditions for the deterioration of women's position by maintaining capitalism.

The Iranian government abuses the attack and criminal sanctions of the Euro-Atlantic bloc as a pretext to cruelly suppress the justified anger of the people. The Iranian government pretends to be an 'anti-imperialist' power while they themselves are increasingly integrating their monopolies integrated with the formation of a new 'Eurasian' imperialist bloc including the Russian bourgeoisie.

In this struggle, the working class should not be tempted to 'pick sides' of one robber or the other. The working class of all countries must detach itself from the plans of one capitalist class or the other. Only the struggle against capitalism, which fosters violence against women, and the struggle for a new system without exploitation, socialism- communism, can solve the problems of the people.
