FRATERNAL GREETINGS ON THE 66th ANNIVERSARY OF THE
ASSAULT ON THE MONCADA AND CESPEDES BARRACKS

Dear Comrades :

The Central Committee of the Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas (PKP-1930, the Philippine Communist Party) sends warmest fraternal greetings to the Central Committee of the Partido Comunista de Cuba (PCC) on today's 66th Anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada Garrison and the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, and wishes every success to the Cuban people's struggles for national sovereignty, territorial integrity and socialism.

On this year of the 60th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, the Trump regime has announced the activation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act and the setting-up of new aggressive measures. Imperialism's vain attempt to achieve political goals through economic blockade and choking, as a means to destroy the example of the first victorious socialist revolution in the American continent, is still being insanely pursued.

In the face of this new imperialist offensive, we pledge to redouble our proletarian internationalist efforts in defense of Cuban socialism, sovereignty and territorial integrity. We are proud to have contributed our modest efforts through participation in the 6th International Seminar on Peace and for the Abolition of Foreign Military Bases held in Guantanamo City last May 2-8, 2019, and in the ongoing 9th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of Solidarity with Cuba which is being held in Kathmandu, Nepal, this July 26 and 27, 2019.

No doubt, the Cuban working class and revolutionary people, under the vanguard leadership of your Party, will once again defeat the new imperialist offensive, in the same way that Cuba has weathered many acts of aggression from successive US administrations for six decades now. In this struggle, your Party and people can always count on our solidarity, and the solidarity of all revolutionary forces throughout this world.

We further pledge to redouble our efforts to strengthen the movement of friendship and solidarity with Cuba in our country, to increase our people's knowledge of the Cuban reality, and to make louder the demands for the end of the illegal and criminal blockade imposed by the USA on Cuba, for the return to Cuban sovereignty of the Guantanamo Naval Base, and for an end to “regime change” and other subversive US programs against Cuba.
