- Millions of the Sudanese masses have headed the call of the Alliance, the Sudanese Professional Association (SPA) and the Sudanese Communist Party (SCP) and demonstrated on Sunday 30th June 2019 in the streets of the Khartoum, Khartoum North and Omdurman. This was repeated in other cities and rural areas all over the country.

- The main slogans were: “Down Down with the Transitional Military Council (TMC)”, “Hand Over Power to the Alliance”, “All Power to the People”.

- In a clear challenge to the TMC, the masses took to the streets to reaffirm their confidence in the leadership of the Alliance for the Forces of Freedom and Change and to underline their choice of a civilian government.

- In other cities like Atbara, Portsudan, Kasala,Madani, Dungola, Halfa Algadida, the masses demonstrated in their tens of thousands, coupled with thousands demonstrating in the villages and rural areas.

- Sudanese communities in over sixty cities all over the world were out to support the masses inside the country.

- Sudan has never witnessed such mass upheaval. It was not only the millions that took to the streets which was unprecedented, but the organization, the discipline and the peaceful nature of the demonstrators have added a new depth to the revolutionary history of our people.

- In its disparate attempts to halt the marches, the Transitional Military Council (TMC) deployed the security forces and the Jangaweed, who used live ammunition against the demonstrators. Two demonstrators were reportedly shot dead, one in Khartoum and the second in Atbara, with dozens wounded.

- The meeting of the Central Committee of the Sudanese Communist Party which was held on Friday 28 June 2019 has called for the party members and friends to take the lead in the preparation and the marches on 30th June, the 30th anniversary of the Muslim Brotherhood coup of 1989.

- The Transitional Military Council has detained leaders of the Sudanese Professional Association (SPA) and the Sudanese Communist Party (SCP). Among them Masoud Alhassan member of the SCP Political Bureau and Secretary of party organization in the capital.

- The Sudanese CP calls on the international communist movement to double its solidarity actions with the struggle of our people which has entered a decisive stage to wrench the rights of the people and restore civilian rule.
