The working people in Greece, the unemployed, the youth and the pensioners have now become double victims of capitalism. They are subject of the exploitatory system, which has no other interests than the obtainment of maximum profits on the costs of the workers and employees. And they are additionally condemned to carry the immense costs for a crisis that has been caused not by them but by the ruling class.
With the aim to settle the enormous amount of debts that have been piled up by the Greek state at the behest of the banks and of the EU, Greece is today subject of a ruthless dictate of the European Union, the European Central Bank and of the International Monetary Fund. The Greek government, which was not formed as a result of a democratic vote of the people, adopted together with the majority of the conservative and the socialist parliament members an austerity programme, on the basis of which hundreds of thousands of Greeks will be pushed into unemployment, homelessness and misery. Minimum wages are reduced to an insufferable level, state expenditures for education, health care, public and social services are seriously cut, taxes and dues are increased, pensions drastically cut and 150,000 public employees will be released. An increasing number of Greek citizens are deprived of the most important human right – the right to a humanely life.
In this stranglehold of an entire people, the Euro Group lead by its president Jean-Claude Juncker plays an inglorious role by issuing to Greece one ultimatum after the other in the name of the big and financial capital. Summoning the leaders of the two governing parties – the conservative Nea Dimokratia and the socialist PASOK – to commit themselves in written form to the continuation of the austerity policy even after the next elections means deliberately ignoring the will of the eligible voters and thus the end of bourgeois democracy.
The Central committee of the Communist Party of Luxembourg condemns resolutely this policy of the EU, of the ECB and of the IMF. The communists of Luxembourg declare their solidarity with the working people of Greece and with the most consistent defenders of the interests of the Greek people – the Communist Party of Greece KKE, the Communist Youth Union KNE and the trade union PAME.
We demand the immediate stop of the attacks against the Greek people which are contradicting to any human right. We know that the working people in the other member states of the EU will be the next victims of the austerity policy. The problems of the working people all over Europe can not be solved within the system of capitalism. Their solution needs the abolishment of the exploitation of men by men and the construction of a new socialist society.

Solidarität mit den Schaffenden in Griechenland
Stoppt die Diktatur von EU, EZB, IWF und Eurogruppe!
Die schaffenden Menschen in Griechenland, die Arbeitslosen, die Jugend und die Pensionäre sind heute doppelt zu Opfern des Kapitalismus geworden. Sie sind dem ausbeuterischen System unterworfen, das keine anderen Interessen kennt als die Erzielung von Maximalprofit auf Kosten der Arbeiter und Angestellten. Und sie sind zusätzlich dazu verurteilt, die immensen Kosten für eine Krise zu tragen, die nicht sie verursacht haben, sondern die herrschende Klasse.
Um den riesigen Schuldenberg abzubauen, den der griechische Staat auf Geheiß der Banken und der EU angehäuft hat, wird Griechenland heute einem unbarmherzigen Diktat der Europäischen Union, der Europäischen Zentralbank und des Internationalen Währungsfonds unterworfen. Die griechische Regierung, die nicht im Ergebnis eines demokratischen Votums des Volkes gebildet wurde, hat mit der Mehrheit der konservativen und der sozialistischen Abgeordneten ein Austeritätsprogramm beschlossen, mit dem Hunderttausende Griechen in Arbeitslosigkeit, Obdachlosigkeit, Not und Elend gestoßen werden. Die Mindestlöhne werden auf ein unerträgliches Niveau gesenkt, die staatlichen Ausgaben für Bildung, Gesundheit, öffentliche Dienste und soziale Leistungen unterliegen einer strikten Rotstiftpolitik, Steuern und Abgaben werden erhöht, Renten drastisch gekürzt, 150.000 Angestellte des öffentlichen Dienstes werden entlassen. Einer wachsenden Zahl griechischer Bürger wird das wichtigste Menschenrecht, das Recht auf ein menschenwürdiges Leben, vorenthalten.
Eine unrühmliche Rolle bei dieser Knebelung eines ganzen Volkes spielt die Eurogruppe unter ihrem Vorsitzenden Jean-Claude Juncker, der im Namen des Groß- und Finanzkapitals immer neue Ultimaten an Griechenland stellt. Die Forderung an die Chefs der beiden regierenden Parteien – der konservativen Nea Dimokratia und der sozialistischen PASOK –, sich schriftlich zur Fortsetzung der Kürzungspolitik auch nach den nächsten Wahlen zu verpflichten, bedeutet das vorsätzliche Ignorieren des Willens der Wahlberechtigten und damit das Ende der bürgerlichen Demokratie.
Das Zentralkomitee der Kommunistischen Partei Luxemburgs verurteilt diese Politik der EU, der EZB, des IWF und der Eurogruppe in entschiedenster Weise. Die Kommunisten Luxemburgs erklären sich solidarisch mit den Schaffenden Griechenlands und mit den konsequentesten Vertretern der Interessen des griechischen Volkes – der Kommunistischen Partei Griechenlands KKE, des Kommunistischen Jugendverbandes KNE und der Gewerkschaft PAME.
Wir fordern die sofortige Einstellung der menschenrechtsfeindlichen Angriffe gegen das griechische Volk. Wir wissen, daß die Schaffenden in den anderen Mitgliedstaaten der EU die nächsten Opfer der Austeritätspolitik sein werden. Die Probleme, denen die Schaffenden ganz Europas heute ausgesetzt sind, können innerhalb des Systems des Kapitalismus nicht gelöst werden. Sie erfordern die Beendigung der Ausbeutung des Menschen durch den Menschen und die Errichtung einer neuen sozialistischen Gesellschaft.
