The MEP of the KKE, Giorgos Toussas, in his intervention to the Council of the European Union denounced the aggressiveness of Israel against the Palestinian people and its provocative intransigence against the rightful struggle for the termination of the occupation and the creation of an independent, viable and sovereign Palestinian state, as well as the risks of a war spreading in the wider region, on the grounds of imperialist antagonisms.
The MEP of the KKE underlined the following in his intervention:
“The aggressiveness of the Israeli state against the Palestinian people and its provocative intransigence against its rightful struggle for the termination of the occupation and the creation of an independent, viable and sovereign Palestinian state, was manifested once more in the speech of the Israeli prime minister, B. Netanyahu, in the recent UN General Assembly, with the support of the USA and the EU.
The criminal activity of the Israeli occupation army is escalating with murderous attacks against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and other Palestinian territories.
The imperialist competitions increase the risks of a war spreading with disastrous consequences for the peoples of the wider region.
On the grounds of these competitions, the EU systematically upgrades its political, financial - trade and military relations with Israel, in the framework of the Association Agreement between the EU and Israel, as well as with the accession of Israel in the Single European Sky.
With a recent decision of the Council of the EU, there was a protocol annexed to the Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreement between the European Communities and Israel, which provides the context for products from the occupied Palestinian territories can be exported as Israeli products to the EU member states.
This EU-Israel agreement practically constitutes a direct recognition and legitimization of the Israeli occupation and the crimes against the Palestinian people.
The Council is asked:
Is it going to pursue this policy of support to Israel against the Palestinian people and its rightful struggle for the termination of the occupation and the creation of an independent, viable and sovereign Palestinian state, at the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, for the demolition of the unacceptable wall, the liberation of the Palestinian political prisoners in Israel and for the right of return of all the Palestinian refugees to their homes, according the relevant UN resolutions?”

حول تصعيد دولة إسرائيل لعدوانيتها ضد الشعب الفلسطيني
عِبر مُداخلة شكوى وجهها النائب في البرلمان الأوروبي يورغوس توساس نحو مجلس الاتحاد الأوروبي، قام بالتنديد بعدوانية إسرائيل الممارسة ضد الشعب الفلسطيني و بالتعنُّت الذي تُبديه أثناء مواجهتها لنضاله العادل الهادف لإنهاء الاحتلال وإقامة دولة فلسطينية مستقلة وقابلة للحياة وذات سيادة، كما و شَكى مخاطر نشوب حرب أشمل في المنطقة على أرضية التناحرات الامبريالية القائمة.
هذا و كانت مداخلة النائب المذكور للحزب الشيوعي اليوناني في البرلمان الأوروبي قد نوَّهت في سياقها، على التالي:
" تَمظهرت و لمرة أخرى، كلٌّ من عدوانية دولة إسرائيل ضد الشعب الفلسطيني و تعنُّتها في مواجهة نضاله العادل الهادف لإنهاء الاحتلال وإقامة دولة فلسطينية مستقلة وقابلة للحياة وذات سيادة، في خطاب رئيس الوزراء الاسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو خلال اعمال جلسة االجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة مؤخراً، مع امتلاكهِ لدعمِ كُلٍّ من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والاتحاد الأوروبي.
إن النشاط الإجرامي لجيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي هو في مسار تصعيدي ضد الشعب الفلسطيني، يتجلى عبر هجمات قاتلة تُمارس ضد الشعب الفلسطيني في قطاع غزة و في باقي الأراضي الفلسطينية.
هذا و تزيد التناحرات الامبريالية من خطر نشوب حرب معممة ذات عواقب مدمرة على شعوب المنطقة ومحيطها.
في حين يقوم الاتحاد الأوروبي على أرضية التناحرات المذكورة، بتعزيزٍ منهجي لعلاقاته السياسية والاقتصادية - التجارية كما و العسكرية مع إسرائيل، في إطار اتفاقية الشراكة الأوروبية - الإسرائيلية وإدراج إسرائيل في مجال السماء الأوروبية الموحدة.
هذا و تم إصدار بروتوكول نَصَّ على اعتبار المنتجات التي تنتج في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة كمنتجات الإسرائيلية تُصدَّر نحو الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأوروبي، جرى إرفاقه مع القرار الأخير لمجلس الاتحاد الأوروبي حول اتفاقية الشراكة الأورو- متوسطية الموقعة بين هيئات الإتحاد الأوروبي وإسرائيل، حيث يشكِّل اتفاق إسرائيل و الإتحاد الأوروبي في جوهره، اعترافاً مباشراً مضفياً للشرعية على الاحتلال الإسرائيلي و على جرائمه الممارسة ضد الشعب الفلسطيني.
نتوجه بالسؤآل التالي نحو المجلس:
هل هو عازم على مواصلة سياسته الداعمة لإسرائيل ضد الشعب الفلسطيني وضد نضاله العادل الهادف لإنهاء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وإقامة دولة فلسطينية مستقلة، وذات سيادة و قابلة للحياة على حدود عام 1967 مع القدس الشرقية عاصمة لها، و ضد نضاله العادل الهادف لهدم الجدار الغير مقبول، والإفراج عن السجناء السياسيين الفلسطينيين في إسرائيل وحق العودة لجميع اللاجئين الفلسطينيين إلى ديارهم، وفقا لقرارات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة؟ "
