Biman Basu, Secretary of CPI(M), West Bengal State Committee has issued the following statement:
In a public meeting, held on 26th December in North Dinajpur Anisur Rahman, a CPI(M) MLA made some unwarranted and derogatory remarks while mentioning the issue of compensation to rape victims in West Bengal.
His comment is against the political culture of our Party. Our Party does not approve such comments made by Anisur Rahman.
He has already apologized for his comments and he should be cautious in the future against making any such unwarranted comment.
