Against the imperialist aggression of the USA and Israel against the people of Iran

Political Note from the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB)

The Brazilian Communist Party (PCB) vehemently condemns the new military aggression promoted by the United States and Israel against the people of Iran. Once again, we witness the repetition of the old imperialist script: armed attacks justified by lies, media manipulation, and false narratives of "defense" or "security," which conceal the true strategic and economic interests of U.S. imperialism.

Recent history demonstrates that U.S. imperialism, in association with the Zionist state of Israel, systematically uses fabricated pretexts to intervene militarily in the Middle East. The central objective of these offensives is none other than to attempt to reverse the decline of imperialist hegemony in the region, ensure geopolitical control, and guarantee the appropriation of strategic riches, especially oil and other fundamental energy sources for the reproduction of international monopoly capital.

The current aggression takes on even more barbaric contours given the reports that the bombings hit civilian areas, including a school attended by children, resulting in the deaths of dozens of them. This is a crime that directly violates international law, humanitarian conventions, and the most elementary principles of coexistence among peoples. This type of action not only highlights the brutal character of the imperialist offensive but also represents a serious danger of military escalation throughout the region, increasing the risks of a war of even more devastating proportions.

The PCB denounces the role played by the State of Israel as the main instrument of imperialism in the Middle East. The Zionist government acts as the spearhead of the strategic interests of the United States in the region, actively participating in aggressions against different peoples and sovereign states. This stance reinforces the expansionist, militaristic, and oppressive policy that has been inflicted upon the Palestinian people and other peoples of the region for decades.

The attack on Iran constitutes yet another violation of national sovereignty and the principle of self-determination of peoples. No country has the right to impose, through military force, its political, economic, or strategic interests on another. The normalization of these aggressions strengthens Zionism and creates political and military conditions to deepen the ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, increasing the suffering and destruction already imposed on that population.

Given this situation, the Brazilian Communist Party reaffirms its historical position of fighting against imperialism, Zionism, and all forms of colonial and neocolonial domination. We express our solidarity with the Iranian people and all the peoples of the Middle East who resist external aggressions and imperialist interference.

The PCB appeals to workers, youth, social and popular organizations, trade union, student, and community movements, as well as political forces committed to national sovereignty and peace among peoples, to not only publicly condemn this new aggression but to organize large demonstrations in all regions of the planet against the imperialist offensive on Iran.

It is time to strengthen the anti-imperialist struggle and internationalist solidarity. Only the conscious and organized mobilization of peoples can contain the march of war, defend the self-determination of peoples, and pave the way for an international order based on cooperation, social justice, and popular sovereignty.

Contra a agressão imperialista dos EUA e de Israel ao povo do Irã

O Partido Comunista Brasileiro (PCB) condena de maneira veemente a nova agressão militar promovida pelos Estados Unidos e por Israel contra o povo do Irã. Mais uma vez assistimos à repetição do velho roteiro imperialista: ataques armados justificados por mentiras, manipulação midiática e falsas narrativas de “defesa” ou “segurança”, que escondem os verdadeiros interesses estratégicos e econômicos do imperialismo estadunidense.

A história recente demonstra que o imperialismo dos EUA, em associação com o Estado sionista de Israel, utiliza sistematicamente pretextos fabricados para intervir militarmente no Oriente Médio. O objetivo central dessas ofensivas não é outro senão tentar reverter o declínio da hegemonia imperialista na região, assegurar o controle geopolítico e garantir a apropriação das riquezas estratégicas, especialmente o petróleo e outras fontes energéticas fundamentais para a reprodução do capital monopolista internacional.

A atual agressão assume contornos ainda mais bárbaros diante das denúncias de que os bombardeios atingiram áreas civis, incluindo uma escola frequentada por crianças, resultando na morte de dezenas delas. Trata-se de um crime que fere frontalmente o direito internacional, as convenções humanitárias e os princípios mais elementares da convivência entre os povos. Esse tipo de ação não apenas evidencia o caráter brutal da ofensiva imperialista, como também representa um grave perigo de escalada militar em toda a região, ampliando os riscos de uma guerra de proporções ainda mais devastadoras.

O PCB denuncia o papel desempenhado pelo Estado de Israel como principal instrumento do imperialismo no Oriente Médio. O governo sionista atua como ponta de lança dos interesses estratégicos dos Estados Unidos na região, participando ativamente de agressões contra diferentes povos e Estados soberanos. Essa postura reforça a política expansionista, militarista e de opressão que há décadas se abate sobre o povo palestino e sobre outros povos da região.

O ataque ao Irã constitui mais uma violação da soberania nacional e do princípio da autodeterminação dos povos. Nenhum país tem o direito de impor, por meio da força militar, seus interesses políticos, econômicos ou estratégicos sobre outro. A normalização dessas agressões fortalece o sionismo e cria condições políticas e militares para aprofundar a limpeza étnica contra o povo palestino na Faixa de Gaza, ampliando o sofrimento e a destruição já impostos àquela população.

Diante desse quadro, o Partido Comunista Brasileiro reafirma sua posição histórica de combate ao imperialismo, ao sionismo e a toda forma de dominação colonial e neocolonial. Manifestamos nossa solidariedade ao povo iraniano e a todos os povos do Oriente Médio que resistem às agressões externas e à ingerência imperialista.

O PCB apela aos trabalhadores e trabalhadoras, à juventude, às organizações sociais e populares, aos movimentos sindicais, estudantis e comunitários, bem como às forças políticas comprometidas com a soberania nacional e com a paz entre os povos, para que não apenas condenem publicamente essa nova agressão, mas organizem grandes manifestações em todas as regiões do planeta contra a ofensiva imperialista ao Irã.

É hora de fortalecer a luta anti-imperialista e a solidariedade internacionalista. Somente a mobilização consciente e organizada dos povos poderá conter a marcha da guerra, defender a autodeterminação dos povos e abrir caminho para uma ordem internacional baseada na cooperação, na justiça social e na soberania popular.
