MODI, TAKE YOUR PAWS OFF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF INDIA (MARXIST)! 

The Brazilian Communist Party expresses its most vehement repudiation of the arrest of leading comrades of the CPI(M), including its General Secretary Ma Baby, for protesting against the organized invasion of the residence of Pinarayi Vijayan, member of the Politburo and former Chief Minister of Kerala, and his detention by the government forces of the reactionary Narendra Modi. 

The use of legal warfare and police repression by right-wing conservative governments as weapons against popular and progressive forces has become an international phenomenon. Here in Latin America, this practice of lawfare was widely used by the right against progressive, anti-imperialist, and left-wing political forces. Victims of judicial persecution and political-legal coups include: comrade Daniel Jadue of the Communist Party of Chile, Dilma Rousseff in Brazil, Fernando Lugo in Paraguay, Rafael Correa in Ecuador, Pedro Castillo in Peru, and Cristina Kirchner in Argentina. In Eurasia, we have recently witnessed attacks and legal persecution against communists: from the Czech Republic to Jordan, from Poland to Kenya, and now India. 

In your country, the far-right of Narendra Modi's BJP could not stand the success of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) governments, led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), which had governed the state of Kerala since 2016. Learning from the entire international experience of the right's use of lawfare, the PCB is absolutely clear that the BJP used every maneuver and manipulation to defeat the LDF in the last election in Kerala and used this electoral result to attack the LDF and the Communist Party of India (Marxist), in the person of comrade Pinarayi Vijayan, who headed the popular government of Kerala state until now. The enormous social achievements of the people of Kerala under the leadership of the LDF government are a source of pride and an example for communists worldwide. 

The PCB expresses its vehement repudiation of the arbitrary and illegal arrest of the Indian comrades and expresses its full solidarity with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and its leaders and activists persecuted by the repression of the neo-fascist government of Narendra Modi. 

We take this opportunity, even under these terrible circumstances, to express our interest and willingness to deepen the bonds of comradeship, exchange of experiences, and pursuit of joint actions with your Communist Party of India (Marxist) and other brother parties of South and Southeast Asia, always faithful to the concept of mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of brother communist parties.

MODI, TIRE AS PATAS DO PARTIDO COMUNISTA DA ÍNDIA (MARXISTA)! 

O Partido Comunista Brasileiro manifesta seu mais veemente repúdio à prisão dos camaradas dirigentes do PCI(M), incluindo seu  Secretário-Geral Ma Baby, por protestarem contra a invasão organizada da residência de Pinarayi Vijayan, membro do Politburo e ex-ministro-chefe de Kerala, e sua detenção pelas forças governamentais do reacionário Narendra Modi. 

O uso da guerra jurídica e da repressão policial por governos conservadores de direita como armas contra forças populares e progressistas tornou-se um fenômeno internacional. Aqui na América Latina, esta prática de lawfare foi largamente utilizada pela direita contra forças políticas progressistas, anti-imperialistas e de esquerda. Foram vítimas de perseguição judicial e golpes político-jurídicos: camarada Daniel Jadue do PC do Chile, Dilma Roussef no Brasil, Fernando Lugo no Paraguai, Rafael Correa no Equador, Pedro Castilho no Peru e Cristina Kirchner na Argentina. Na Eurásia, recentemente assistimos ataques e perseguições jurídicas contra os comunistas: da República Tcheca à Jordânia, da Polonia, do Quênia e agora da Índia. 

Em vosso país, a extrema-direita do Partido BJP de Narendi Modi não suportou ver o sucesso dos governos da Frente Democrática de Esquerda (LDF), liderado pelo Partido Comunista da Índia (Marxista), que governava o Estado de Kerala desde 2016. Com o aprendizado de toda a experiência internacional de utilização do lawefare pela direita, o PCB tem absoluta clareza de que o BJP utilizou todas as manobras e manipulações para derrotar a LDF na última eleição em Kerala e utilizar este resultado eleitoral para atacar a LDF e o Partido Comunista da Índia (Marxista), na figura do camarada Pinarayi Vijayan, que chefiou o governo popular do Estado de Kerala até agora. As enormes conquistas sociais do povo de Kerala sob a liderança do governo da LDF são motivo de orgulho e um exemplo para os comunistas de todo o mundo. 

O PCB manifesta veemente repúdio à prisão arbitrária e ilegal dos camaradas indianos e manifesta sua integral solidariedade ao Partido Comunista da Índia (Marxista) e a seus dirigentes e militantes perseguidos pela repressão do governo neofascista de Narendra Modi. 

Aproveitamos o ensejo, ainda que nestas terríveis circunstâncias, para manifestarmos nosso interesse e disposição em aprofundar os laços de camaradagem, troca de experiências e busca de ações conjuntas com seu Partido Comunista da Índia (Marxista) e demais Partidos irmãos do Sul-Sudeste Asiático, sempre fiéis ao conceito de respeito mútuo e não interferência nos assuntos internos dos PCs irmãos.
