Drop the charges against conscripts who take part in anti-war rallies

The authorities have imposed 15-day prison sentences on conscripts who have taken part in anti-war rallies.

These unacceptable prosecutions and sentences imposed on conscripts who expressed their support for the people’s struggles and their opposition to the country’s involvement in imperialist wars, have been condemned by trade unions, university student unions, and other mass organizations.

As noted by the Greek Committee for International Détente and Peace (EEDYE): “The punishments imposed on conscripts for participating in protests or publicly expressing anti-war views constitute a direct attack on their democratic rights and confirm the attempt to impose silence within the Armed Forces”. It adds that “these are intimidation tactics aimed at silencing the voices of young people, the children of the people, who refuse to become accomplices in the war plans of foreign interests, or cannon fodder for the imperialists”.

EEDYE expresses its unwavering solidarity with the conscripts being persecuted and punished for their stance, emphasizing that “their stance is an example of dignity and responsibility towards the people, who are paying a heavy price for the country’s involvement in dangerous plans”.

In conclusion, it demands the immediate revocation of all sentences and prosecutions against the conscripts, the full guarantee of the democratic rights of the soldiers, and an end to all attempts at intimidation within the Armed Forces. It calls on the people and the youth “to intensify the struggle against wars and the country’s involvement in them; to demand the return of all military missions deployed abroad and the closure of foreign bases, which turn the country into a launching pad for war and a target for retaliation.”

Прекратить преследование военнослужащих, участвующих в антивоенных митингах!

Власти назначили дисциплинарный арест на 15 суток военнослужащим, участвующим в антивоенных митингах.

Профсоюзы, студенческие объединения и другие массовые организации решительно осуждают это недопустимое преследование и арест солдат, выразивших солидарность с народной борьбой и протест против втягивания страны в империалистические войны. 

Греческий комитет за мир и разоружение (ЕЕДИЕ) заявляет: «Наказания в отношении солдат за участие в акциях протеста или публичное выражение антивоенных взглядов являются прямыми нападками на их демократические права и подтверждают попытку заткнуть рот солдатам, служащим в Вооруженных силах». А также добавляет: «Речь идет о практике запугивания, цель которой — заставить замолчать молодых людей, сыновей народа, отказывающихся быть соучастниками военных планов в угоду чужим интересам и становиться пушечным мясом для империалистов». 

ЕЕДИЕ выражает свою безраздельную солидарность с солдатами, которые подвергаются преследованиям и взысканиям за свою позицию, подчеркивая, что их позиция служит примером достоинства и ответственности перед лицом народа, который платит тяжелую цену за вовлечение страны в опасные планы. 

В заключение он требует немедленно отменить все взыскания и прекратить преследование военнослужащих, полностью обеспечить демократические права солдат и пресечь любые попытки запугивания в рядах Вооруженных сил. Он призывает народ и молодежь усилить борьбу против войн и участия в них нашей страны; требовать возвращения всех военных подразделений из-за рубежа и закрытия иностранных военных баз, превращающих страну в военный плацдарм и цель для ответных ударов.

Que se retiren los cargos contra los soldados que participan en manifestaciones contra la guerra

Las autoridades han impuesto penas de 15 días de prisión a los soldados conscriptos que participan en manifestaciones contra la guerra.

Sindicatos obreros, asociaciones de estudiantes y otras organizaciones de masas condenan estos procesamientos y penas inaceptables impuestos a soldados conscriptos que expresaron su apoyo a las luchas del pueblo y su oposición a la implicación del país en guerras imperialistas.

Como señala el Comité Griego por la Distención Internacional y la Paz (EEDYE): “Las penas contra los soldados conscriptos por participar en movilizaciones o expresar públicamente posiciones contra la guerra constituyen un ataque directo a sus derechos democráticos y confirman el intento de imponer el silencio dentro de las Fuerzas Armadas”, y añade que “se trata de prácticas de intimidación cuyo objetivo es acallar la voz de los jóvenes, los hijos del pueblo, que se niegan a ser cómplices de los planes bélicos de intereses extranjeros, carne de cañón de los imperialistas”.

La EEDYE expresa su plena solidaridad con los soldados conscriptos que son perseguidos y castigados por su postura, subrayando que “su postura constituye un ejemplo de dignidad y responsabilidad ante el pueblo, que paga un alto precio por la implicación del país en planes peligrosos”.

En conclusión, exige que se revoquen de inmediato todas las penas y persecuciones contra los soldados conscriptos, que se garanticen plenamente sus derechos democráticos y que cese cualquier intento de intimidación dentro de las Fuerzas Armadas. Hace un llamamiento al pueblo y a la juventud a “intensificar la lucha contra las guerras y la implicación del país en ellas; exigir el regreso de todas las misiones militares del extranjero y el cierre de las bases extranjeras, que convierten al país en una cabeza de puente de guerra y en blanco de represalias”.

فلتُلغى الملاحقات القضائية ضد المجندين المشاركين في التظاهرات المناهضة للحرب

 أصدرت السلطات أحكاماً بالسجن لمدة 15 يوماً بحق المجندين المشاركين في التظاهرات المناهضة للحرب.

تدين النقابات العمالية والاتحادات الطلابية وغيرها من المنظمات الجماهيرية هذه الملاحقات والأحكام غير المقبولة التي صدرت بحق المجندين الذين عبّروا عن دعمهم لنضالات الشعب ومعارضتهم لتورط البلاد في حروب إمبريالية.

وكما سجَّلت اللجنة اليونانية الدولية للسلام و الركود الدوليين: «إن العقوبات المفروضة على المجندين بسبب مشاركتهم في التظاهرات أو تعبيرهم علناً عن مواقف مناهضة للحرب تُعدّ اعتداءاً مباشراً على حقوقهم الديمقراطية، وتؤكد محاولة فرض الصمت داخل القوات المسلحة»، مضيفةً: « إننا بصدد ممارسات ترهيب تهدف إلى إسكات أصوات الشباب، أبناء الشعب، الذين يرفضون التواطؤ مع مخططات الحرب التي تخدم مصالح أجنبية، وأن يكونوا وقوداً لمدافع الإمبرياليين».

تُعرب اللجنة اليونانية الدولية للسلام و الركود الدوليين عن تضامنها الكامل مع المجندين الذين يتعرضون للملاحقات والعقاب بسبب موقفهم، مؤكدةً أن «موقفهم هو أنموذجٌ للكرامة والمسؤولية تجاه الشعب الذي يدفع ثمناً باهظاً لتورط البلاد في مخططات خطيرة».

وفي الختام، تُطالب اللجنة بإلغاء جميع العقوبات والملاحقات القضائية ضد المجندين فوراًَ، وضمان حقوقهم الديمقراطية بشكل كامل، ووقف أي محاولة للترهيب داخل القوات المسلحة. كما تدعو الشعب والشباب إلى «تعزيز الكفاح ضد الحروب وتورط البلاد فيها، والمطالبة بعودة جميع البعثات العسكرية من الخارج وإغلاق القواعد الأجنبية التي تجعل البلاد موقعاً انقضاضياً حربياً وهدفاًَ للانتقام».
