Letter of protest from the KKE regarding the brutal crackdown on protests in India

The Central Committee of the KKE and its International Relations Sectionsent a letter of protest to the Embassy of India in Athens, following up on a statement denouncing the brutal repression against the people of India and the arrest of Indian communists.

The letter states the following:

“Sirs, Madams,

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) is following with great concern the brutal repression by the police forces of the Modi government against workers, young people, and other ordinary people who are taking to the streets these days to defend their rights in your country.

The violence against many protesters and the arrests, as well as the broader crackdown, have also targeted Indian communists, such as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) M. A. Baby, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India D. Raja, as well as other Communist Party cadres known to the authorities for their political action in support of workers’ and people’s rights. This also includes members of parliament from these parties, and leaders of youth and student organizations in India.

The KKE unequivocally condemns the police violence, arrests, and detention of our comrades and other militants in India. It demands that the Indian authorities immediately halt the repression of popular and youth demonstrations.”

КПГ направила письмо протеста в связи с жестким подавлением протестов в Индии 

Центральный комитет Компартии Греции и Международный отдел ЦК направили письмо протеста в посольство Индии в Афинах в продолжение ранее опубликованного заявления с осуждением жестких репрессий в отношении народа Индии и ареста индийских коммунистов.

В письме, в частности, говорится:

«Дамы и господа,

Коммунистическая партия Греции (КПГ) с глубокой обеспокоенностью наблюдает за жесткими репрессиями со стороны полицейских сил правительства Моди в отношении трудящихся, молодежи и простого народа, выходящих в эти дни на акции протеста за свои права в вашей стране.

Насилие в отношении многих участников акций протеста, аресты и репрессии в целом были направлены и против коммунистов Индии, в том числе против Генерального секретаря Компартии Индии (марксистской) М.А.Бэби, Генерального секретаря Компартии Индии Д.Раджи, других руководящих кадров компартий, известных властям своей политической деятельностью в защиту прав трудящихся, а также депутатов от этих партий и лидеров молодёжных и студенческих организаций Индии.

КПГ решительно осуждает полицейское насилие, аресты и содержание под стражей наших товарищей и других активистов в Индии. Она требует от властей Индии немедленно прекратить подавление народных и молодёжных манифестаций».

رسالة احتجاج من الحزب الشيوعي اليوناني بشأن القمع الشديد للاحتجاجات في الهند

بعثت اللجنة المركزية للحزب الشيوعي اليوناني وقسم علاقاتها الأممية رسالة احتجاج إلى السفارة الهندية في أثينا، في استمرارية  لبيان التنديد بشأن القمع الشديد الذي يتعرض له الشعب الهندي واعتقال الشيوعيين الهنود.

هذا و جاء في الرسالة بالتفصيل ما يلي:

«السيدات و السادة،

يتابع الحزب الشيوعي اليوناني بقلق بالغ القمع الشديد الذي تمارسه قوات شرطة حكومة مودي ضد العمال والشباب وغيرهم من عامة الشعب الذين يتظاهرون هذه الأيام للمطالبة بحقوقهم في بلدكم.

إن العنف الذي طال العديد من المتظاهرين والاعتقالات والقمع الأشمل، استهدف أيضاً شيوعيي الهند، مثل الأمين العام للحزب الشيوعي الهندي (الماركسي) م. أ. بيبي، والأمين العام للحزب الشيوعي الهندي د. راجا، وغيرهم من كوادر الحزبين الشيوعيين المعروفة لدى السلطات بنشاطها السياسي في سبيل حقوق العمال والشعب و نواب عن كلا الحزبين، كما و كوادر قيادية   لِمنظمات الشباب والطلاب في الهند.

يدين الحزب الشيوعي اليوناني بأشد العبارات عنف الشرطة واعتقال واحتجاز رفاقنا وغيرهم من المناضلين و المناضلات في الهند. ويطالب السلطات الهندية بوقف قمع المظاهرات الشعبية والشبابية فوراً».

Lettre de protestation du KKE concernant la répression brutale des manifestations en Inde

Le Comité Central du KKE et sa Section des Relations Internationales ont adressé une lettre de protestation à l'ambassade de l'Inde à Athènes, suite à une déclaration dénonçant la répression brutale exercée contre le peuple indien et l'arrestation de communistes indiens.

La lettre indique ce qui suit:

«Mesdames, Messieurs,

Le Parti Communiste de Grèce (KKE) suit avec une grande inquiétude la répression brutale menée par les forces de police du gouvernement Modi contre les travailleurs, les jeunes et d’autres gens ordinaires qui descendent ces jours-ci dans la rue pour défendre leurs droits dans votre pays.

Les violences commises à l’encontre de nombreux manifestants et les arrestations, ainsi que la répression plus générale, ont également visé des communistes indiens, tels que le Secrétaire Général du Parti Communiste d’Inde (marxiste), M. A. Baby, le Secrétaire Général du Parti Communiste d’Inde, D. Raja, ainsi que d’autres cadres des Partis communistes connus par les autorités pour leur action politique en faveur des droits des travailleurs et du peuple. Cela inclut également des députés issus de ces partis, ainsi que des dirigeants d’organisations de jeunesse et d’étudiants en Inde.

Le KKE condamne sans équivoque les violences policières, les arrestations et la détention de nos camarades et d’autres militants en Inde. Il exige que les autorités indiennes mettent immédiatement fin à la répression des manifestations du peuple et de la jeunesse.»
