Mass mobilization of pensioners

On the morning of 15 December, 2025, pensioners in Attica held another mass mobilization, continuing their struggle following a series of recent regional rallies.

Speaking outside the Ministry of Labour, Dimos Koumbouris, president of the Pensioners’ Federation, stressed that the strong turnout reflects a militant stance toward life itself and a movement that will grow stronger with each passing day—for the benefit of both current pensioners and future generations.

“The wealth produced is more than sufficient to meet our needs, yet today we cannot make ends meet. Those who actually produce this wealth are unable to survive, because it is concentrated in the hands of those who exploit us,” he said.

He called for an intensified struggle against anti-popular policies and the diversion of resources toward the war industry, demanding substantial increases in pensions as well as strengthened public healthcare and social security systems.

Массовая акция протеста пенсионеров

15 декабря пенсионеры провели новую массовую акцию протеста в Аттике.

У здания Министерства труда председатель Федерации пенсионеров Димос Кумбурис  подчеркнул, что участие в акции демонстрирует боевую жизненную позицию и движение, которое будет крепнуть день ото дня ради самих пенсионеров и их детей.

«Создаваемого богатства более чем достаточно, чтобы удовлетворить человеческие нужды, но сегодня нам не дают жить по-человечески. Подлинные производители этого богатства не могут нормально существовать, потому что оно находится в руках эксплуататоров», — заявил он.

Он призвал к усилению борьбы против антинародной политики и курса на милитаризацию экономики, за реальное повышение пенсий, укрепление государственной системы здравоохранения и общественного социального обеспечения.

Movilización masiva de jubilados

Los jubilados de la región de Ática llevaron a cabo una nueva movilización masiva en la mañana del 15 de diciembre de 2025, continuando con sus luchas tras las concentraciones locales que tuvieron lugar en el período anterior.

Fuera del Ministerio de Trabajo, Dimos Koumpouris, presidente de la Federación de Jubilados, señaló que la participación en la movilización demuestra una actitud de vida combativa y un movimiento que se fortalecerá cada día tanto para ellos mismos como para sus hijos.

“La riqueza que se produce es demasiado grande para cubrir las necesidades, pero hoy en día no podemos vivir. Los verdaderos productores de riqueza no pueden vivir porque está en manos de quienes nos explotan”, afirmó.

Hizo un llamamiento a intensificar la lucha contra las políticas antipopulares, contra el giro hacia la industria bélica, por aumentos sustanciales en las pensiones y el fortalecimiento de la sanidad pública y la seguridad social.
