More evident than ever

Military operations and the expansion of the battlefields are more visible than ever, from Ukraine and the Black Sea to Iran, the Persian Gulf, Yemen, Lebanon and Syria. This stands as irrefutable evidence of the escalation of imperialist war.

No two days on the battlefield are the same. The war is spreading, sometimes slowly and sometimes more rapidly. Here are just a few examples of recent developments...

In the conflict between NATO and Russia in Ukraine, the two sides are exchanging missile and unmanned vehicle strikes deep within enemy territory, as well as in the Black Sea.

Aircraft are violating the airspace of European countries such as Romania, Lithuania and the Baltic states, and are being intercepted by NATO aircraft.

Germany and Russia have entered into open conflict following the discovery of armed drones at Leipzig Airport. The Russian Foreign Minister described Germany's reaction as “the start of a real war”.

Britain and Russia have been exchanging threats since the former announced an upgrade to military aid for Ukraine.

Other European countries from the “coalition of the willing”, including Greece, are negotiating the supply of Patriot systems to the Zelenskyy regime in anticipation of Russian operations in the winter, amid rumours of a possible ground attack on Kyiv.

NATO is revealing a war plan against Russia on European soil. In the North Sea, military incidents between the Russian fleet and European states are on the rise, such as the firing of flares at a Danish helicopter.

Across the EU, the arms race and preparations for war are intensifying. Huge funding is being channelled into the war economy and the cultivation of a “culture of coffins”...

Similarly, the Persian Gulf in the Middle East is becoming a death trap for merchant ships, which are being targeted in US attacks and Iranian retaliatory strikes. Seafarers are caught in the crossfire of the conflict over control of the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s threats of retaliation against European NATO member states contributing to the war with infrastructure and resources are indicative of an escalation, with Greece very much in the firing line.

The most serious development is the Houthis' advance into western Yemen and their seizure of strategic control points in the Straits of the Red Sea, one of the world's most important trade routes.

Turkey and Israel are clashing behind the scenes over control of Syria, whilst a few days ago the conflict took on overtly military characteristics with the Israeli attack on a strategic airfield in the north of Syria, which Turkey intends to use as a base.

The war between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon is raging, while the West Bank is gradually becoming a second Gaza Strip under the occupation regime of the terrorist state of Israel.

Tensions are also escalating in Greek-Turkish relations, which are another key factor in these developments. Turkey’s territorial claims in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean are taking on a more aggressive form, against the backdrop of the conflict between Turkey and  Israel and the strengthening of Greek-Israeli relations, culminating in the “Achilles Shield” agreement.

Confrontation between the Greek and Turkish bourgeoisies over who will take the lead in energy and other projects in the region and on NATO’s south-eastern flank is intensifying, in parallel with Greece's increasing entanglement in imperialist rivalries and wars.

The Greek bourgeoisie's strategic orientation is compromise and a settlement based on the NATO “roadmap”, leading to co-management of the Aegean sea. However, it cannot be ruled out that some military incident might take place.

Significant developments are also underway within the Eurasian bloc that is under formation. From one summit to the next, the various cooperative structures (BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, etc.), in which China and Russia play leading roles, are taking steps towards greater coordination, presenting the formation of a “multipolar” imperialist system as an alternative to US imperialism, thereby strengthening their own position.

The situation on the imperialist war fronts is now far more acute and dangerous than when the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East first broke out. The same applies to our country’s involvement.

The danger of a generalised imperialist conflict is more evident than ever before, setting our people the task not to rally behing the bourgeoisie in its deadly rivalries. Instead, they must fight for their own interests with a stronger KKE, against imperialist war and the country’s involvement in it, and for the overthrow of capitalist power.

Опасность очевидна как никогда

От Украины и Чёрного моря до Ирана, Персидского залива, Йемена, Ливана и Сирии военные действия и расширение фронтов неопровержимо свидетельствуют об эскалации империалистической войны.

На полях сражений ни один день не похож на предыдущий.Где-то медленнее, где-то быстреевойна приобретает всеобщий характер. Вот лишь некоторые события последних недель...

В конфликте НАТО и России на Украине оба лагеря наносят друг другу удары ракетами и беспилотниками вглубь территории противника, а также по акватории Чёрного моря.

Летательные аппараты нарушают воздушное пространство европейских стран (Румынии, Литвы, Балтии) и перехватываются самолётами НАТО.

После обнаружения вооружённых беспилотников в аэропорту Лейпцига Германия и Россия оказались в состоянии открытого конфликта. Российский министр иностранных дел назвал реакцию Германии «началом настоящей войны».

Великобритания и Россия обмениваются угрозами после заявления Лондона об усилении военной помощи Украине.

Другие европейские страны из «коалиции желающих», в том числе Греция, торгуются по поводу поставок комплексов «Patriot» режиму Зеленского в преддверии зимней военной кампанииРоссии на фоне слухов даже о возможном сценарии наземного наступления на Киев.

НАТО раскрывает план войны с Россией на территории Европы. В Северном море учащаются военные инциденты с участием российского флота и европейских государств, например, пуск сигнальных ракет в сторону датского вертолёта.

По всему ЕС раздувается военный психоз, усиливаются военные приготовления. Огромные средства направляются на военную экономику и насаждение «культуры гробов»...

Сходная картина и на Ближнем Востоке. В войне за контроль над Ормузским проливом Персидский залив превращается в смертельную ловушку для торговых судов, которые становятся мишенями американских атак и иранских ответных ударов, а жертвами оказываются моряки.

Угрозы Иранаоб ответных мерах в отношении европейских государств НАТО, предоставляющих инфраструктуру и средства для ведения войны являются тревожным сигналом эскалации, при этом Греция по-прежнему остается мишенью ответных ударов.

Самым серьёзным развитием событий стало наступление хуситов на западе Йемена и их продвижение к стратегическим позициям, позволяющим контролировать проливы Красного моря - один из важнейших торговых путей мира.

Турция и Израиль ведут закулисную борьбу за контроль над Сирией. Однако несколько дней назад это противостояние вылилось в открытые военные действия после того, какИзраиль нанёс удар по стратегически важному аэропорту на севере страны, который Турция намерена использовать как военную базу.

Ливан полыхает в огне войны между Израилем и «Хезболлой» на юге страны. Оккупационный режим государства-террориста неуклонно превращает Западный берег во вторую Газу.

Нарастает напряжённость и в греко-турецких отношениях. Это ещё одна важная сторона происходящего. Притязания Турции в Эгейском море и Восточном Средиземноморье принимают всё более агрессивную форму на фоне её конфликта с Израилем и укрепления греко-израильских отношений, кульминацией которых сталосоглашение «Щит Ахилла».

Между буржуазией Греции и Турции обостряется борьба за доминирование в энергетических и других проектах региона и на юго-восточном фланге НАТО. Это происходит одновременно со всё большим втягиванием нашей страны в империалистическуюконкуренцию и войны.

Стратегическим ориентиром греческой буржуазии выступают компромисс и урегулирование на основе натовской «дорожной карты», ведущей к совместной эксплуатации ресурсов Эгейского моря. Однако не исключено, что какой-либо военный инцидент ускорит развитие событий.

Серьёзные сдвиги намечаются и в формирующемся евразийском лагере. От саммита к саммиту различные форматысотрудничества(БРИКС, Шанхайская организация сотрудничества и др.), в которых ведущую роль играют Китай и Россия, всё теснее координируют свои действия, продвигая в качестве альтернативы американскому империализму создание «многополярной» империалистической системы иповышая свой статус.

Сегодня обстановка на фронтах империалистической войны несравненно острее и опаснее, чем тогда, когда разгорались конфликты на Украине и Ближнем Востоке. То же самое касается и вовлечения нашей страны в войну.

Опасность всеобщего империалистического конфликта очевидна как никогда. Перед греческим народом встаёт большая задача: не плестись в хвосте у буржуазии в её смертоносной конкуренции, авместе с более сильной КПГ бороться за свои самостоятельные интересы,против империалистической войны и вовлечения нашей страны в неё, за свержение капиталистической власти.

Más evidente que nunca

Desde Ucrania y el Mar Negro hasta Irán, el Golfo Pérsico, Yemen, Líbano y Siria, las operaciones militares y la expansión de los frentes de guerra son pruebas irrefutables de la escalada de la guerra imperialista.

En el campo de batalla, ningún día es igual al anterior. A veces más despacio y otras más rápido, la guerra se está generalizando. A modo de ejemplo, mencionamos solo algunos acontecimientos de las últimas semanas...

En el conflicto entre la OTAN y Rusia en Ucrania, los dos bandos se lanzan ataques con misiles y vehículos no tripulados de larga distancia en el territorio del adversario, pero también en el Mar Negro.

Hay aeronaves que violan el espacio aéreo de países europeos (Rumanía, Lituania, los países bálticos) y son interceptadas por aviones de la OTAN.

Alemania y Rusia están en conflicto abierto tras el hallazgo de drones armados en el aeropuerto de Leipzig. En respuesta a las reacciones de Alemania, el ministro de Asuntos Exteriores ruso lo calificó como “el inicio de una guerra real”.

El Reino Unido y Rusia se lanzan amenazas tras el anuncio del primero de que va a aumentar la ayuda militar a Ucrania.

Otros países europeos del grupo de los “dispuestos” —entre ellos Grecia— están negociando el suministro de misiles Patriot al régimen de Zelenski, ante la perspectiva de las operaciones rusas de invierno, mientras circulan rumores incluso de una ofensiva terrestre contra Kiev.

La OTAN desvela un plan de guerra contra Rusia en territorio europeo. En el Mar del Norte se multiplican los incidentes militares entre la flota rusa y estados europeos, como el lanzamiento de bengalas contra un helicóptero danés.

En toda la UE, la fiebre armamentística y los preparativos bélicos van en aumento. Se destinan enormes fondos a la economía de guerra y al fomento de una familiarización con la “cultura de ataúdes cubiertos de la bandera”...

Respectivamente, en Oriente Medio, el Golfo Pérsico se está convirtiendo en una trampa mortal para los buques mercantes, que se convierten en blanco de ataques estadounidenses y represalias iraníes, con los marineros siendo las víctimas en la guerra por el control del estrecho de Ormuz.

Las amenazas de Irán de tomar represalias contra los países europeos de la OTAN que contribuyen a la guerra con infraestructuras y medios son un claro indicio de que la situación se está agravando, y Grecia se encuentra constantemente en el punto de mira.

Lo más grave es el avance de los hutíes hacia el oeste de Yemen y su avance hacia puntos estratégicos de control del estrecho del Mar Rojo, uno de los pasos comerciales más estratégicos del planeta.

Turquía e Israel se enfrentan entre bastidores por el control de Siria, mientras que hace unos días el conflicto adquirió un carácter abiertamente militar con el ataque israelí a un aeropuerto estratégico del norte, que Turquía pretende utilizar como base.

El Líbano está en llamas por la guerra entre Israel y Hezbolá en el sur, y Cisjordania se está convirtiendo poco a poco en una segunda Gaza debido al régimen de ocupación de ese Estado-terrorista.

La tensión también va en aumento en las relaciones greco-turcas, lo cual es otro elemento importante de lo que está pasando. Las reivindicaciones de Turquía en el Egeo y el Mediterráneo oriental están adoptando un tono más agresivo, a la sombra del conflicto con Israel y de la mejora de las relaciones greco-israelíes, que ha culminado con el “Escudo de Aquiles”.

La pugna por ver quién lleva la voz cantante en los proyectos energéticos y de otro tipo en la zona y en el flanco sureste de la OTAN se está agudizando entre la clase burguesa de Grecia y la de Turquía, mientras está aumentando la implicación de Grecia en las rivalidades y guerras imperialistas.

El compromiso y el acuerdo basados en la “hoja de ruta” de la OTAN, que conduce a una gestión conjunta, son la orientación estratégica de la burguesía griega. Sin embargo, no se puede descartar que algún incidente militar acelere los acontecimientos.

Además, se vislumbran cambios importantes en el bloque euroasiático que está en proceso de formación. De reunión en reunión, los distintas organizaciones de cooperación (BRICS, Organización de Cooperación de Shanghái, etc.), en las que China y Rusia tienen un papel protagonista, dan pasos hacia una mayor coordinación, planteando como alternativa al imperialismo estadounidense la configuración de un sistema imperialista “multipolar”, con el objetivo de reforzar su propia posición.

La situación actual en los frentes de la guerra imperialista es incomparablemente más tensa y peligrosa que cuando estallaron los conflictos en Ucrania y Oriente Medio. Lo mismo ocurre con la implicación de nuestro país.

El peligro de un conflicto imperialista generalizado es más evidente que nunca, lo que plantea al pueblo el gran reto de no ir a remolque de la clase burguesa en sus rivalidades asesinas, sino de luchar por sus propios intereses independientes, con el KKE más fuerte, contra la guerra imperialista y la implicación del país en ella, y por el derrocamiento del poder capitalista.
