On Looting in the Soviet Tradition

Comment by the International Relations Section of the Central Committee of the KKE on the establishment of the so-called SOVINTERN 

At present, there are two dominant tactics employed by the bourgeoisie in the territories of the former Soviet Union against the communist movement. The first involves a complete ban on Communist Parties, their symbols, and their activities, as is the case in Ukraine and the Baltic states. The second involves the manipulation of the communist movement and the exploitation of the history of the Soviet Union in order to serve the contemporary objectives of the bourgeois classes, as is the case in Russia and Belarus.

The distortion of Soviet history is characteristic of both approaches, as seen, for example, in the Goebbels-style propaganda surrounding the so-called “Holodomor” in Ukraine, or, conversely, in the portrayal of Lenin by the contemporary leadership of the Russian bourgeoisie as the “destroyer” of the magnificent Russian Empire — and, in contrast, in the presentation of Stalin as a “patriot”, stripped of his revolutionary ideology.

The KKE has repeatedly denounced and condemned the persecution of communists and communist parties, as well as anti-communism and anti-Sovietism in all sides of bourgeois distortion. Particular mention must, however, be made of the shameful attempts to exploit and appropriate the history of the USSR and the communist movement. Such is the case of the newly emerged SOVINTERN, which seeks to kill two birds with one stone by invoking both the Soviet Union and the Comintern —the Communist International.

Unraveling the SOVINTERN thread

SOVINTERN presents itself as an “International Union of the World’s Contemporary Left-Wing Forces”, founded in Moscow on 25–29April 2026 and hosted by the centre-left, social democratic party “A Just Russia”, which is represented in the Russian Parliament (State Duma), having received 7.5% of the vote and 28 deputies (out of 450). Extreme nationalist elements have also joined this party, such as Zakhar Prilepin, who previously participated in the so-called “National Bolshevik Party”, which even attempted to imitate the symbols and slogans of Hitler’s National Socialist Party and adopted the motto: “Russia is everything, everything else is nothing!”

“A Just Russia” supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine and was therefore expelled from the “Socialist International”, which it had joined prior to 2022. Earlier, in 2014, it had received a reprimand from this international social-democratic organization, as members of “A Just Russia” had tabled an amendment to abortion legislation, arguing, among other things, that a woman could have an abortion with her husband’s consent. So much for progress! Even earlier, in 2007, party leader S. Mironov, closely following Putin’s line, had attacked the Bolsheviks, whom he accused of imposing “total control over people’s thinking”.

It is noteworthy that Sergei Mironov, chairman of the “A Just Russia” party, which leads SOVINTERN, received as a gift from Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the mercenary group “Wagner,” a sledgehammer that has become a symbol for Russian nationalists during the imperialist war in Ukraine. This followed the release of several videos showing “Wagner” fighters using such tools to execute some of their comrades who had previously surrendered to the enemy. In addition to the dedication, the symbols of the “Wagner” group are engraved on the sledgehammer; like the organization’s name, these symbols draw inspiration from the Nazis.

It is also worth noting that in 2011, Vladislav Surkov, former aide to the Russian President and former Deputy Prime Minister, publicly stated that “A Just Russia” was created in order to manage and channel popular discontent. Over the years, “A Just Russia” has consistently supported Kremlin decisions and distinguished itself through its backing of all anti-popular legislation, including aimed at silencing dissent in Russia.

Finally, in 2026, “A Just Russia” joined the so-called “World Anti-Imperialist Platform” (WAP), which, as is well known, plays an anti-KKE role, signing the relevant declaration.

A false treasure

In statements by SOVINTERN representatives, reference is made to 100 communist and left-wing parties allegedly participating; however, no list has been published. From the available information, some communist parties already part of the WAP appear to be included, such as the so-called American Communist Party. This is a party of Trump supporters that presents itself with a communist façade and which, in the last US presidential election, supported the “pacifist” Trump. This is no coincidence, given that one of the party’s theorists has recently called on communists to engage in “tactical cooperation” with Trump against supporters of globalization.

The absurdities do not end there. From Turkey, for example, the “Vatan” party (“Homeland” party) participates in the “International Union of the World’s Contemporary Left-Wing Forces”. This is a nationalist party driven by an adventurist and hollow anti-Americanism, promoting the interests of the bourgeois classes within the Eurasian imperialist axis (China and Russia), and closely linked to a section of Turkey’s military establishment. The “Vatan” party not only supports the narrative of the so-called “Blue Homeland” doctrine —through which the Turkish bourgeoisie expresses its aggressive ambitions toward the West and challenges the sovereign rights of Greece and Cyprus— but is also among its most ardent supporters. The two main theorists of “Blue Homeland”, retired admirals Cem Gürdeniz (who coined the term in 2006) and Cihat Yaycı, maintain close ties to the ideological sphere of the “Vatan” party. Gürdeniz was a regular columnist for the party newspaper Aydınlık.

Greece is represented by a one-man theoretical group, as well as by the social-democratic “Delphi Initiative”, whose representative is a businessman presenting himself as the CEO of an investment firm linked to the “South European Pipeline”.

It is unnecessary to continue further, but it is worth noting that forces of opportunism, reformism, and apologists for various forms of bourgeois management and co-optation of workers and youth to the goals of one or another bourgeois class will undoubtedly continue their harmful activity, exploiting and appropriating the history of the international workers’ and popular movement.

In this context, there is need to strengthen the ideological–political front both against anti-communism and the suppression of workers’ and popular struggles, and against those who detach the struggle against war and fascism from the struggle against capitalism that gives rise to them. We must reject fake “anti-imperialism” and “anti-fascism”, as well as similar schemes used by bourgeois and opportunist forces to entrap the peoples within their plans. Against this backdrop and under the unfavourable conditions of the international correlation of forces, the KKE and other Communist Parties continue to struggle steadfastly for the revolutionary independence of the International Communist Movement from bourgeois forces and interests, as well as for its regroupment on a Marxist–Leninist basis, against imperialist war, the bourgeois classes, capitalist exploitation, and anti-communism.

Комментарий Международного отдела ЦК Компартии Греции относительно создания так называемого СОВИНТЕРНА 

Правящий буржуазный класс на территории бывшего СССР в настоящий период использует две основные тактики в отношении коммунистического движения:

• Первая сводится к полному запрету коммунистических партий, их символики и деятельности, как это происходит на Украине и в странах Балтии.
• Вторая связана с манипулированием коммунистическим движением и спекуляцией на истории Советского Союза ради достижения современных целей буржуазии, как это происходит в России и Белоруссии.

Характерной чертой в обоих случаях является искажение советской истории. Яркие тому примеры – геббельсовская пропаганда  про так называемый Голодомор на Украине или попытки современных рупоров российской буржуазии представить Ленина "разрушителем" великой Российской империи, противопоставляя его Сталину, которого выставляют "патриотом", очищенным от революционной идеологии.

КПГ неоднократно выступала с разоблачением и осуждением преследований коммунистов и компартий, а также антикоммунистических и антисоветских выпадов со стороны всех буржуазных фальсификаторов. Однако особого внимания заслуживают гнусные попытки спекуляции и мародерства на истории СССР и коммунистического движения. Именно это мы наблюдаем на примере недавно возникшего  Совинтерна - структуры, стремящейся убить двух зайцев одним выстрелом, апеллируя к Советскому Союзу и к Коминтерну (Коммунистическому Интернационалу).

Что скрывается за Совинтерном

Совинтерн позиционирует себя как Международное объединение современных левых сил мира. Он был создан в Москве 25–29 апреля 2026 года под крылом левоцентристской, социал-демократической партии «Справедливая Россия», которая представлена в российском парламенте (Государственной Думе) 28 депутатами (из 450), по итогам последних выборов в Думу она набрала 7,5% голосов. Данная партия вобрала в себя и крайних националистов. В их числе - Захар Прилепин, бывший член так называемой "Национал-большевистской партии", которая стремилась копировать гитлеровскую национал-социалистическую партию вплоть до лозунгов и символов, а её главным девизом был: "Россия — всё, остальное — ничто!".

«Справедливая Россия» поддержала российское вторжение на Украину и за это была исключена из Социалистического интернационала, в который она вступила до 2022 года. Ранее, в 2014 году, она получила замечание со стороны этого международного социал-демократического объединения в связи с тем, что  ее депутаты внесли поправку в закон об абортах, согласно которой, помимо прочего, женщина могла прервать беременность только с согласия супруга. Такой вот прогресс!!! А ещё раньше, в 2007 году, лидер партии С. Миронов, следуя по стопам Путина, обрушился с критикой на большевиков, которые, по его оценке, «управляли страной с помощью тотального контроля за образом мысли».

… кувалда националистов

Показательно, что председатель партии „Справедливая Россия“, ведущей силы в Совинтерне, Сергей Миронов получил  некогда в подарок от основателя ЧВК „Вагнер“ Евгения Пригожина кувалду. Она стала символом российских националистов в период империалистической войны на Украине после появления в сети ряда видеозаписей, на которых бойцы группы „Вагнер“ казнят ею своих сослуживцев, ранее сдавшихся в плен врагу. Помимо памятной надписи на кувалде выгравирована символика „Вагнера“, которая, как и само название этого наёмного формирования, заимствована у нацистов.

Здесь стоит упомянуть, что в 2011 году Владислав Сурков, бывший помощник президента России, бывший вице-премьер российского правительства, публично заявил, что „Справедливая Россия“ создавалась для того, чтобы манипулировать возможным народным недовольством. И действительно, на протяжении всех этих лет „Справедливая Россия“ фанатично поддерживала любые шаги Кремля и активно помогала продвигать все антинародные законы, в том числе и те, что затыкают рот любой оппозиции в России.

Наконец, в 2026 году „Справедливая Россия“ присоединилась к так называемой „Всемирной антиимпериалистической платформе“ (ВАП), которая, как известно, играет анти-КПГ роль, и подписала соответствующую декларацию.

Название громкое, а за ним - пшик

В заявлениях представителей Совинтерна речь идёт о 100 участвующих в нем коммунистических и левых партиях, однако полный список этих партий нигде не опубликован. Из того, что всё же было обнародовано, можно констатировать участие в нем некоторых компартий, уже состоящих в ВАП, например, так называемой Американской компартии. Речь идет о партии сторонников Трампа, прикрывающейся коммунистической вывеской, которая на последних президентских выборах в США поддержала... „миротворца“ Трампа. И это совсем не случайно, если учесть, что недавно один из теоретиков ВАП призывал коммунистов к „тактическому сотрудничеству“ с Трампом в борьбе против глобалистов.

Но на этом курьёзы не заканчиваются. От Турции, например, в этом Международном объединении современных левых сил мира участвует партия „Ватан“ (в переводе — „Родина“). Это националистическая партия, чей антиамериканизм носит сугубо конъюнктурный и декларативный характер. Она продвигает интересы буржуазии евразийской империалистической оси (Китая и России) и имеет тесные связи с частью турецкого военного истеблишмента.„Ватан“ не просто поддерживает концепцию так называемой „Голубой родины“, посредством которой турецкая буржуазия выражает свои агрессивные устремления на западе от своих границ, оспаривая суверенные права Греции и Кипра, а является одним из самых ярых ее апологетов. Два главных идеолога концепции „Голубая родина“ — адмиралы в отставке Джем Гюрдениз (термин введен им в 2006 году) и Джихат Яйджи — имеют тесные связи с идейным кругом „Ватан“. Более того, Гюрдениз регулярно писал статьи для партийной газеты „Aydınlık“.

Разумеется, в нем нашлось место и деятелям из Греции: от нашей страны там участвуют „теоретический кружок“, состоящий из одного человека, а также социал-демократическая „Дельфийская инициатива“. В качестве представителя этой структуры выступает некий предприниматель, который иногда представляется гендиректором инвестиционной компании по строительству трубопровода „South European Pipeline“.

Думаем, не стоит далее продолжать перечисление. Однако мы считаем полезным отметить, что силы оппортунизма и реформизма — эти апологеты различных вариантов буржуазного управления и подчинения трудящихся и молодёжи целям того или иного лагеря буржуазии — безусловно, продолжат свою пагубную деятельность, прибегая в том числе к спекуляции на истории международного рабочего и народного движения.

Следовательно, возрастает необходимость укрепления идеологического и политического фронта как против антикоммунизма и подавления рабочей и народной борьбы, так и против тех, кто отрывает борьбу против войны и фашизма от борьбы против капитализма, который их порождает. Необходимо отвергнуть липовый антиимпериализм и антифашизм, а также различные подобные "схемы", используемые буржуазными и оппортунистическими силами для втягивания народов в свои планы.

Вопреки этой ситуации, в условиях неблагоприятного расклада сил на мировой арене КПГ и другие компартии ведут последовательную борьбу за революционную самостоятельность международного коммунистического движения, не подверженного влиянию буржуазных сил и интересов, а также за его реорганизацию на марксистско-ленинской основе, против империалистической войны, буржуазии, капиталистической эксплуатации и антикоммунизма.

Sobre el saqueo en la tradición soviética

Comentario de la Sección de Relaciones Internacionales del Comité Central del KKE sobre la fundación de la denominada SOVINTERN

En este momento, existen dos tácticas predominantes de la clase burguesa en los territorios de la antigua Unión Soviética frente al movimiento comunista:

• La primera está relacionada con la prohibición total de los partidos comunistas, sus símbolos y sus actividades, como ocurre en Ucrania y los países bálticos.
• La segunda tiene que ver con la manipulación del movimiento comunista y la apropiación indebida de la historia de la Unión Soviética para servir a los objetivos actuales de las clases burguesas, como ocurre en Rusia y Bielorrusia.

La distorsión de la historia soviética es característica de ambos casos, como ocurre, por ejemplo, con la utilización de la propaganda deGoebbels sobre el llamado «Holodomor» en Ucrania, o, por otro lado, con la presentación de Lenin por parte de los actuales mandos de la clase burguesa rusa como el «destrutor» del grandioso Imperio ruso y, de hecho, en contraposición a Stalin, a quien se presenta de manera distorsionada como un «patriota» y «despojado» de la ideología revolucionaria.

El KKE ha denunciado y condenado en repetidas ocasiones las persecuciones contra los comunistas y los partidos comunistas, así como el anticomunismo y el antisovietismo por parte de todos los sectores de la distorsión burguesa. Sin embargo, es necesario hacer una mención especial a los vergonzosos intentos de apropiación y saqueo de la historia de la URSS y del movimiento comunista. Tal es el caso de la recientemente creada SOVINTERN, que busca matar dos pájaros de un tiro al hacer referencia tanto a la Unión Soviética como a la Komintern (la Internacional Comunista).

Desentrañando el hilo de SOVINTERN

SOVINTERN se presenta como una «Unión Internacional de las Fuerzas de Izquierda Contemporáneas del Mundo», fundada en Moscú del 25 al 29 de abril de 2026 y organizada por el partido socialdemócrata de centroizquierda «Rusia Justa», que cuenta con representación en la Duma Estatal rusa, con un 7,5 % de los votos y 28 diputados (de un total de 450). En este partido se han integrado también elementos nacionalistas extremistas como Zahar Prilepin, quien anteriormente participó en el llamado «Partido Nacional-Bolchevique», que intentaba imitar al partido nacionalsocialista de Hitler en sus símbolos y consignas, y tenía como lema «¡Rusia lo es todo, todo lo demás no es nada!».

«Rusia Justa» apoyó la invasión rusa de Ucrania y, por ese motivo, fue expulsada de la Internacional Socialista, a la que se había afiliado antes de 2022. Anteriormente, en 2014, esta unión socialdemócrata internacional ya le había hecho una advertencia, ya que los diputados de «Rusia Justa» habían presentado una enmienda a la ley del aborto en la que, entre otras cosas, consideraban que una mujer solo podría abortar si contaba con el consentimiento de su esposo. ¡Vaya «progreso»! Y aún antes (2007), el líder del partido, S. Mironov, siguiendo de cerca a Putin, se había enfrentado a los bolcheviques, a quienes acusaba de imponer un «control total sobre el pensamiento» del pueblo.

Es significativo que Serguéi Mironov, presidente del partido «Rusia Justa» y líder de la SOVINTERN, recibiera de regalo de Yevgeni Prigozhin, fundador del ejército mercenario «Wagner», un mazo que se ha convertido en un símbolo para los nacionalistas rusos durante la guerra imperialista en Ucrania, tras difundirse algunos vídeos en los que hombres de «Wagner» ejecutan con este mazo a algunos de sus compañeros que se habían rendido al enemigo. En el mazo, además de la dedicatoria, están grabados los símbolos de «Wagner», que, al igual que el nombre de este ejército mercenario, se inspiran en el nazismo.

Cabe señalar que en 2011 Vladislav Surkov, exasesor del presidente ruso y exviceprimer ministro del Gobierno ruso, declaró públicamente que «Rusia Justa» se había creado para manipular cualquier reacción popular. De hecho, a lo largo de estos años, «Rusia Justa» ha apoyado fanáticamente todas las decisiones del Kremlin y se ha distinguido por respaldar todas las leyes antipopulares, incluidas las que silencian cualquier voz de oposición en Rusia.

Finalmente, en 2026, «Rusia Justa» se adhirió a la denominada «Plataforma Antiimperialista Mundial» (PAM), que, como es sabido, desempeña un papel anti-KKE, y firmó la declaración correspondiente.

Un tesoro falso

En las declaraciones de los representantes de SOVINTER se mencionan 100 partidos comunistas y de izquierda participantes, pero no hay ninguna lista publicada al respecto. Entre los partidos que se han hecho públicos, se encuentran algunos que ya participan en la PAM, como el Partido Comunista Americano. Se trata de un partido de partidarios de Trump que se presenta con un «adorno» comunista y que, en las últimas elecciones presidenciales de EE. UU., apoyó a... «pacifista» Trump. No es en absoluto casual, si tenemos en cuenta que, recientemente, uno de los teóricos de la PAM instaba a los comunistas a una «cooperación táctica» con Trump contra los partidarios de la globalización.

Las ironías no terminan ahí. Desde Turquía, por ejemplo, participa en la «Unión Internacional de las Fuerzas de Izquierda Contemporáneas del Mundo» el partido «Vatan» (que significa «Patria»). Se trata de un partido nacionalista, imbuido de un antiamericanismo oportunista y sin fundamento, que promueve los intereses de las clases burguesas del eje imperialista euroasiático (China y Rusia), y que está estrechamente vinculado a una parte del establecimiento militar de Turquía. «Vatan» no solo respalda el discurso de la llamada «Patria Azul», con el que la burguesía turca expresa sus ambiciones agresivas hacia el oeste y cuestiona los derechos soberanos de Grecia y Chipre, sino que es uno de sus más fervientes defensores. Los dos principales teóricos de la «Patria Azul», los almirantes retirados Cem Gürdeniz (quien acuñó el término en 2006) y Cihat Yayci, mantienen estrechos vínculos con el espacio ideológico de «Vatan». Gürdeniz colaboraba regularmente con el periódico del partido, Aydinlik.

Por supuesto, desde Grecia participa un grupo teórico unipersonal, así como la «Iniciativa de Delfos» socialdemócrata, mientras que como representante se presenta un empresario, quien en otras ocasiones se ha identificado como director ejecutivo de una empresa de inversiones para el gasoducto «South European Pipeline».

Consideramos innecesario continuar, pero sí nos parece útil señalar que las fuerzas del oportunismo y el reformismo, así como los apologistas de las diversas variantes de la gestión burguesa y de la sumisión de los trabajadores y la juventud a los objetivos de una u otra clase burguesa, sin duda continuarán con su acción perjudicial, aprovechándose también de la instrumentalización de la historia del movimiento obrero y popular mundial.

Por lo tanto, es crucial fortalecer el frente ideológico-político para combatir tanto el anticomunismo y la represión de las luchas obreras y populares como a aquellos que desvían la lucha contra la guerra y el fascismo de la lucha contra el capitalismo que los engendra. Debemos rechazar el falso «antiimperialismo» y «antifascismo», así como las diversas «fórmulas» análogas que utilizan las fuerzas burguesas y oportunistas para atrapar a los pueblos en sus planes. En esta situación y en medio de unas condiciones internacionales desfavorables, el KKE y otros partidos comunistas luchan con firmeza en busca de la autonomía revolucionaria del Movimiento Comunista Internacional frente a las fuerzas e intereses burgueses y por su reorganización sobre una base marxista-leninista, contra la guerra imperialista, las clases burguesas, la explotación capitalista y el anticomunismo.
