The dilemma socialism or barbarity concerns the present day

 

In his speech at the 52nd KNE - “Odigitis” festival, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, GS of the CC of the KKE, pointed out, amongst other things: 

«We are well aware that there are those who foster the view: “what the KKE says sounds good, but it can’t be put into practice anywhere.” It would certainly be helpful if they could show us where, exactly, the things they themselves say and promise are actually happening.

Where, after all, does this “healthy capitalism” with its “peaceful international relations” exist?

Where does this “fair capitalist development” exist, from which supposedly everyone benefits?

They know the answer, and there is only one: nowhere. It does not exist, has never existed and will never exist in the way they pretend.

What does exist are the insurmountable dead-ends of the system, which are becoming ever deeper, and as long as it does not change radically,  as long as it is not overthrown, will constantly be transformed into suffering for the peoples.

That is why the dilemma socialism or barbarity does not only concern the great moments of the past or some great moments in an undefined future. It is about today. It is about now. It is about the lives of us all and the ongoing struggle between our lives and their profits.

And the system itself knows this better than anyone. That is why it does everything it can to revive the sinful social democracy, and channel the people’s justified dissatisfaction into the familiar illusions of a government alternation—like giving the same old system a new coat of paint.

That is why it promotes the rebranding of Mr. Tsipras who, in turn, wherever he goes and whenever he gets the opportunity, proclaims that he has the recipe for helping the system avoid “unpleasant situations”, as he calls popular uprisings. In other words, he makes it perfectly clear that he is available to do the dirty work for the system once again, just as he did the last time.

For the same reason, the system also spreads the poison of anti-communism and propagates the unhistorical “theory of the two extremes”, which is also the official ideology of the rotten EU. Now it is unleashing its watchdogs once again —the infamous fascist forces it controls and deploys at will. The system uses them as boogeymen, allowing its other parties —the supposedly “centrist” and “democratic” ones, which have also crushed the people— to be whitewashed through the well-known logic of the “lesser evil”.  But they are also kept as a reserve force, channeling young people’s anti-system sentiment straight back into the system itself. And, of course, as a pretext for enacting repressive measures that ultimately target the system’s real opponent: the people’s movement, the radical forces, the communists.

That is just how useful these fascists are to the system. Take, for example, the criminal^[1] who was recently released from prison after serving only half of his sentence for leading the criminal organization that murdered Pavlos Fissas and Shehzad Luqman, and carried out a murderous attack on communists trade unionists in Perama.

The system was supposedly so terrified by his return that all the established media gave him live coverage, as if they were covering a head of state, as he addressed a handful of marginal fascists outside the prison.

However, the people's struggle will crush them once again, just as their predecessors were crushed by the Red Army when the hammer and sickle was driven into the heart of the Nazi beast at the Reichstag!

In the face of assigned roles and converging positions of all kinds of system servants, every young man and woman should ask themselves: what solution to the dilemma do they envisage? What cause do they want to devote their lives to?

Young people should not compromise on their dreams or accept that there is nothing they can do about the way things are.

Bold, innovative thinking and the courage to fight for what they want is what befits them. They should want and demand everything that is rightfully theirs. After all, whenever and wherever something has been won - whether it's a working-class family saving their home, a Collective Bargaining Agreement being signed or an anti-popular law being blocked in practice - it has only happened through confrontation and by directly challenging their false dilemmas and convergences.

Had the people and the youth been persuaded to take these things for granted and beyond question, or to tremble before the system's instability or wait for saviours, they would have achieved nothing.

In all these struggles, which were the only real opponent of the Mitsotakis government, the forces of the KKE and KNE have always been at the forefront. With consistency, steadfastness, and selflessness; with the organizational capacity and perspective that only the KKE can offer to the movement, precisely because it has a programme for radical change, for the real overthrow of this injustice and barbarity.

With an open hand extended to each and every person who is willing to struggle side by side with those who are going through the same hardships, so that together they can change their lives.

Because this is how we believe things change. With the people and the youth at the forefront, not standing idly on the sidelines.

In these struggles, we have got together with many men and women, and tomorrow we can get together with many more —people who will overcome their reservations and hesitations and take their rightful place in the movement. This will be a giant step forward.

That is why it will be a huge gain for the people and the youth to have an even stronger KKE in the upcoming electoral battle, so as to confront from a stronger position all the anti-popular plans concocted against the interests of our people.

This is the political choice that complements our struggles and gives them greater impetus, whereas any other choice nullifies them and puts obstacles in their way. This will also be the best preparation for the people against new hardships that are on the horizon.

We move ever forward, keeping firmly in mind the message conveyed by the heroic history of our people. The same people who thrived when, instead of submitting to a negative balance of power, against an adversary who might have seemed invincible, took the great decision to stand firm on its own two feet, to join forces with the communists and to devote all their energy to the struggle for their just cause.

This is confirmed by the heroic history of the National Liberation Front (EAM), whose founding 85 years ago we commemorate tomorrow.

This is powerfully captured in the deeply moving photographic documents of the execution of the 200 communist heroes of Kaisariani. These images have moved thousands of young people, just as they moved all of us when we saw them on display at the Festival over the past few days.

This is also evident from the three-year heroic struggle of the Democratic Army of Greece (DSE), which we are honouring this year on the 80th anniversary of its creation. Even when the people suffered temporary defeats in some of these battles, the gains were all the greater, because they kept the flame burning and paved the way for the even greater struggles of tomorrow.

We continue to follow the paths that previous generations paved for us.

We hold firmly to the torch that has been passed down to us, until the final victory of our people, which will build “the great, the beautiful and utterly amazing"!

With a more powerful KKE, steadfast in every trial, ready to answer history’s call!

We call on all of you —all those who, regardless of particular disagreements and differing views, understand today that a much stronger KKE will be a source of strength for the people, for progress, and for the future of this country, its people and its youth— to join hands and walk this path together.

Let us stop stand idly by and watch and become the protagonists of history in the making. Let us break the routine. Let us dream with our eyes wide open, so that we can fight to make all our dreams come true…

We are forging ahead! Strength and good health to all! Onward to new struggles!

[1]          This refers to Ilias Kasidiaris, a prominent member of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party. He was convicted in 2020 of leading a criminal organisation and was sentenced to 13½ years in prison. He was released on 15 September 2026 after serving part of his sentence. Upon his release, he declared his intention to return to politics, supporting the recently formed far-right Alliance of Greeks. He has stated that this party will be contesting the next Greek parliamentary elections, scheduled for spring 2027.

Дилемма «социализм или варварство» касается сегодняшнего дня

 

В своем выступлении на 52-м фестивале КМГ Генсек ЦК КПГ Димитрис Куцумбас среди прочего отметил:

“Мы отлично знаем этот затасканный мотив: мол, „все, что предлагает КПГ, замечательно, да только нигде не работает“.  Что же, пусть они покажут нам, где именно сработало то, о  чем они говорят и что обещают нам.

Где же наконец этот „здоровый капитализм“ с его „мирными международными отношениями“? Где этот „справедливый капиталистический рост“, от которого якобы все в выигрыше?

Ответ они прекрасно знают, и он один: нигде его нет, никогда не было и никогда не будет в том виде, в каком они его расписывают.

Единственное, что  существует в реальности — это непреодолимые тупики самой системы, которые становятся всё глубже. И пока она не изменится коренным образом, пока не будет упразднена, они постоянно будут оборачиваться страданиями для народов.

Вот почему дилемма „социализм или варварство“ касается не только важных вех прошлого и не каких-то других знаменательных моментов в неопределённом будущем. Она касается сегодняшнего дня,  настоящего, жизни каждого из нас. Касается непрекращающейся борьбы между нашими жизнями и их прибылью. 

И это, безусловно, лучше кого бы то ни было понимает сама система. Вот почему она делает всё возможное, чтобы реанимировать порочную социал-демократию и направить справедливое недовольство народа в нужное для нее русло, в ловушку известной иллюзии сменяемости власти по принципу «шило на мыло». 

Вот почему она продвигает ребрендинг г-на Ципраса, который, в свою очередь, где бы ни выступал, заявляет, что знает рецепт, помогающий системе избежать „неприятных ситуаций“, которыми он называет народные восстания. Иными словами, он прямо заявляет, что готов в очередной раз выполнить грязную работу в интересах системы, как он это делал и в прошлый раз. 

По этой же причине система источает яд антикоммунизма и распространяет антиисторическую теорию «двух крайностей», которая является официальной идеологией разлагающегося ЕС. Сегодня она снова спускает цепных псов — знакомые фашистские силы, подконтрольные ей, которые она использует так, как ей удобно. Она использует их в качестве пугала, чтобы под известным предлогом «меньшего зла» обелять другие системные партии — так называемые «центристские» и «демократические», которые загнали народ в нищету, а также в качестве резерва, чтобы направлять антисистемные настроения (в том числе молодёжи) в самое что ни на есть системное русло. И, разумеется, в качестве предлога для принятия репрессивных мер, которые в конечном счёте направлены против настоящего противника системы — народного движения, радикальных сил, коммунистов.

Вот таким универсальным инструментом являются для системы эти фашиствующие элементы, подобно недавно вышедшему на свободу преступнику, отсидевшему лишь половину своего срока за руководство преступной организацией, на счету которой убийства Павлоса Фиссаса, Шахзата Лукмана, покушение на жизнь  профсоюзных деятелей-коммунистов в Пераме. 

Видите ли, до такой степени система перепугалась его выхода на свободу, что все системные телеканалы транслировали его в прямом эфире, будто освещали визит главы государства, когда он выступал перед кучкой маргинальных фашиствующих элементов у стен тюрьмы.  

Но и на этот раз их разгромит борьба народа, точно так же, как их предков разгромила Красная Армия, водрузив красный флаг с серпом и молотом над Рейхстагом, в самом сердце нацистского зверя! 

В ответ на распределение ролей и единодушие разномастных слуг системы каждый юноша и каждая девушка должны сделать выбор: на чьей они стороне? Чему они хотят служить в своей жизни и ради чего готовы отдавать свои силы.

Молодёжи не свойственны компромиссы и отказ от мечты. Ей не свойственна мысль о том, что „так уж всё устроено и мы ничего не можем с этим поделать”.

Ей присущи новаторские идеи, смелость, стремление бороться. Ей свойственно  претендовать на всё, что принадлежит ей по праву. В конце концов, везде и всегда, где удавалось чего-то добиться — где рабочая семья спасала свой дом, где подписывался коллективный трудовой договор, где антинародный закон оставался лишь на бумаге, — это было только результатом борьбы, прямого отвержения их дилемм и призывов к соглашательству. 

Если бы народ и молодёжь поверили, что всё это является неоспоримой данностью, если бы они дрожали от нестабильности этой системы или уповали на спасителей, то они ничего бы не добились. 

В этой борьбе, которая стала единственным настоящим противником правительства Мицотакиса, всегда впереди шли члены КПГ и КМГ. Их отличали последовательность, стойкость и самоотверженность, а также высокий уровень организации и четкое видение перспективы - качества, которые  может  дать народному движению только КПГ, потому что у неё есть программа коренных изменений, реального свержения этой несправедливой, этой варварской системы. 

Мы протягиваем руку каждому, кто готов бороться плечом к плечу с теми, кто  испытывает те же трудности, чтобы вместе изменить свою жизнь.   

Потому что мы верим, что вещи меняются именно так: когда народ и молодёжь находятся на переднем плане, а не в роли пассивного зрителя.

В ходе этой борьбы мы встретили многих, и завтра можем встретиться с еще большим числом людей, которые преодолеют сомнения и колебания и займут свое место в народном движении. Это станет огромным шагом вперед.

Вот почему для народа и молодёжи станет огромным выигрышем  более мощная КПГ на предстоящих выборах. Это даст возможность с лучших позиций противостоять всем тем антинародным мерам, которые готовит правительство.

Такое политическое решение дополняет нашу борьбу и даёт ей новый импульс, в то время как любое другое решение обесценивает её и ставит барьеры. Оно станет лучшей подготовкой народа к  трудностям, которые его ждут.

Мы идём только вперёд, помня посыл героической истории нашего народа. Народа, который вопреки призывам подчиниться неблагоприятному соотношению сил и противнику, казавшемуся непобедимым, принял судьбоносное решение — расправить плечи, встать в один ряд с коммунистами и отдать всё силы за правое дело. 

Это подтверждает героическая история Национально-освободительного фронта Греции (ЭАМ), со дня основания которого завтра исполняется 85 лет. Это запечатлено в трогательных фотографических документах расстрела 200 героев-коммунистов Кесариани, которые тронули до глубины души тысячи молодых людей, задели за живое всех нас в эти дни при посещении выставки на площадке фестиваля. 

Это подтверждает трёхлетняя эпопея Демократической армии Греции, 80-летие со дня создания которой мы отмечает в этом году. И пусть в некоторых из этих битв народ потерпел временное поражение – выигрыш оказался неизмеримо большим. Он не дал пламени борьбы угаснуть и проложил путь к ещё более великим сражениям в будущем.

По этому пути, проложенному предыдущими поколениями, мы продолжаем идти сегодня. Мы крепко держим переданную нам эстафету, вплоть до окончательной победы нашего народа, который воплотит в жизнь „великое, прекрасное и потрясающее”.

Ещё более сильная КПГ, стойкая в любых испытаниях, готовая к зову истории!

Мы призываем всех вас, независимо от отдельных разногласий и различия во мнениях, всех, кто осознаёт сегодня, что гораздо более сильная КПГ  - это сила  самого народа, это прогресс и будущее этой страны, этого народа и молодёжи,  сомкнуть руки и идти по этому пути вместе.

Хватит быть просто пассивными наблюдателями, пора стать главными действующими лицами исторического процесса, преодолеть страшную силу привычки. Мечтать с открытыми глазами, бороться за воплощение каждой нашей мечты.

Идём вперёд, уверенно и решительно! Бодрости духа, здоровья всем вам! Новых боёв и и побед!”

El dilema “socialismo o barbarie” se refiere al presente

 

En su discurso en el 52o Festival de la KNE, Dimitris Koutsoumpas, Secretario General del Comité Central del KKE, destacó entre otras cosas: 

Sabemos bien que hay quienes defienden la opinión de que “lo que dice el KKE está muy bien, pero no se lleva a la práctica en ningún sitio”. Estaría bien, por supuesto, que nos indicaran  dónde se hacen exactamente esas cosas que ELLOS dicen y prometen. 

¿Dónde está ese “capitalismo sano” con sus “relaciones internacionales pacíficas”? ¿Dónde está  ese “desarrollo capitalista justo”, del que supuestamente se benefician todos? 

La respuesta es una sola y la conocen: no existe en ninguna parte, no ha existido ni existirá tal y como dicen. 

Lo único que existe son los callejones sin salida insuperables de este sistema, que se hacen cada vez más profundos y, mientras esto no cambie radicalmente, no sea derrocado, se convertirán constantemente en un suplicio para los pueblos.

Por eso, el dilema “socialismo o barbarie” no se refiere únicamente a los grandes momentos del pasado, ni a otros grandes momentos que vendrán en un futuro indefinido. Se refiere al presente, a la vida de todos nosotros. Se refiere al conflicto constante entre nuestras vidas y sus beneficios. 

Y, por supuesto, el propio sistema, lo sabe más que nadie. 

Por eso hace todo esfuerzo para resucitar la socialdemocracia pecadora, para atrapar el justo descontento del pueblo en las conocidas ilusiones de un cambio de gobierno, como “el mismo perro con distinto collar”. 

Por eso promueve el rebranding del señor Tsipras, quien, a su vez, proclama que tiene la receta para que el sistema evite “situaciones desagradables”, ¡como él llama a los levantamientos populares! Es decir, declara claramente que está dispuesto a hacer, una vez más, el trabajo sucio en nombre del sistema, tal y como lo hizo la vez anterior. 

También por la misma razón, el sistema derrama el veneno del anticomunismo y difunde la teoría sin fundamento histórico de los dos extremos, que es la ideología oficial de la podrida UE. Ahora vuelve a soltar a sus perros, las conocidas fuerzas fascistas, que tiene a su disposición y las utiliza a su discreción; las utilizará como “el hombre del saco”, de modo que, con la conocida lógica del “mal menor”, queden exonerados sus otros partidos, los supuestos “centristas” y “democráticos”, que han oprimido al pueblo, pero también como recurso para canalizar el ánimo antisistema de los jóvenes hacia la dirección más sistémica que existe. Y, por supuesto, como pretexto para promulgar medidas represivas que, en última instancia, apuntan contra el verdadero adversario del sistema: el movimiento popular, las fuerzas radicales y los comunistas. 

Para el sistema, los fascistas son una tal multiherramienta, como el delincuente que ha salido recientemente de prisión, tras cumplir solo la mitad de su condena por dirigir la organización criminal que asesinó a Pavlos Fyssas, Sahzat Lukman, quien atacó con intención de matar a los sindicalistas comunistas en Perama. 

Tanto –supuestamente- se aterrorizó al sistema por su regreso, que todos los canales sistémicos lo transmitieron en directo, como si estuvieran cubriendo a un jefe de Estado, mientras él hablaba ante un puñado de marginales de tendencia fascista a las puertas de la cárcel. 

¡Pero esta vez también la lucha del pueblo los aplastará, igual que sus ascendientes fueron aplastados por el Ejército Rojo, con la hoz y el martillo clavados en el corazón del monstruo nazi en el Reichstag! 

Frente a los papeles asignados y las convergencias de todo tipo de servidores del sistema, cada joven debe decidir de qué lado del dilema se sitúa. ¿Qué quiere servir en la vida?, ¿a qué causa dedicará sus fuerzas? A la juventud no le satisface el compromiso ni la renuncia a sus sueños; no le satisface la idea de que “así son las cosas, no podemos hacer nada”. 

Le corresponde el pensamiento innovador, el coraje, la reivindicación; le corresponde quererlo y exigirlo todo, todo lo que le pertenece. Además, dondequiera y cuandoquiera que se haya conseguido algo, para cada familia popular que salvó su casa, para cada convenio colectivo de trabajo que se ha firmado, siempre que una ley antipopular que se quedó inaplicada, y todo ello solo se logró mediante la confrontación y el cuestionamiento directo de sus dilemas y sus convergencias. 

Si el pueblo y la juventud se hubieran convencido de que debían afrontar todo ello como un hecho dado e incuestionable, si se hubieran convencido de que debían temer la inestabilidad del sistema, o de que debían esperar a unos salvadores, no habrían ganado nada. 

En todas estas luchas, que fueron el único adversario real del gobierno de Mitsotakis, siempre estuvieron a la primera fila las fuerzas del KKE y de la KNE. Con coherencia, firmeza, desinterés, con la capacidad de organización y la perspectiva que solo el KKE puede aportar al movimiento, precisamente porque cuenta con un programa de cambio radical, de verdadero derrocamiento de esta injusticia, de esta barbarie. 

Con la mano tendida a todos y todas aquellos que estén dispuestos a luchar codo con codo con quienes comparten las mismas preocupaciones, para cambiar juntos sus vidas.  

Porque nosotros creemos que así cambian las cosas: con el pueblo y la juventud en primer plano y no como espectadores pasivos. 

En estas luchas nos hemos encontrado con muchos y mañana podremos encontrarnos con muchos más, que superarán sus reservas y vacilaciones y ocuparán su propio lugar en el movimiento. Esto supondrá un enorme paso adelante. 

Por eso, será una gran ventaja para el pueblo y la juventud contar con un KKE aún más fuerte en la próxima batalla electoral, para hacer frente, desde una posición más sólida, a todo lo que se trama en contra de los intereses de nuestro pueblo. 

Esta es la opción política que complementa nuestras luchas y les da mayor impulso, mientras que cualquier otra las anula y les pone obstáculos. Esta será también la mejor preparación del pueblo ante las dificultades que le están preparando. 

Seguimos siempre adelante, teniendo muy presente el mensaje que nos transmite la heroica historia de nuestro pueblo. Ese pueblo que tuvo grandes momentos cuando, frente a los llamamientos a la sumisión a una correlación de fuerzas desfavorable, ante un adversario que podía parecer invencible, tomó la gran decisión de mantenerse firme, de marchar junto a los comunistas y de entregarlo todo en la lucha por su causa justa. 

Así lo confirma la heroica historia del EAM, cuyo 85o aniversario celebramos mañana. Esto queda  plasmado en las impactantes fotografías de la ejecución de los 200 héroes comunistas de Kaisariani, que conmovieron a miles de jóvenes, al igual que nos conmovieron a todos estos días al verlas expuestas en el recinto del Festival. 

Esto queda confirmado por la epopeya de tres años del Ejército Democrático de Grecia, cuyo 80o aniversario de su fundación conmemoramos este año. Aunque en algunas de esas batallas el  pueblo sufriera una derrota temporal, ganó mucho mas manteniendo viva la llama y abrió caminos para las luchas aún más importantes del mañana. 

Seguimos avanzando por esos caminos que nos abrieron las generaciones anteriores. 

¡Sostenemos con firmeza el relevo que hemos recibido, hasta la victoria definitiva de nuestro pueblo, que hará realidad “lo grande, lo hermoso y lo fascinante”! 

¡Un KKE más fuerte, firme ante cualquier prueba, listo para responder al llamamiento de la historia! 

Os invitamos a todos y todas, independientemente de las discrepancias puntuales y las opiniones divergentes, a quienes hoy comprendéis que un KKE mucho más fuerte será una fuerza para el propio pueblo, el progreso y el futuro de este país, de este pueblo y de la juventud, a recorrer juntos este camino. 

Dejemos de ser meros espectadores para convertirnos en actores del devenir histórico. Superemos la terrible fuerza de los hábitos. 

Soñemos con los ojos abiertos para luchar por hacer realidad todos nuestros sueños. ¡Avanzamos con fuerza! ¡Ánimo y salud para todos y todas! ¡Por nuestras luchas exitosas!

 Das Dilemma „Sozialismus oder Barbarei“ betrifft die Gegenwart

 

In seiner Rede auf dem 52. Festival der KNE stellte Dimitris Koutsoumbas, Generalsekretär des ZK der KKE, unter anderem fest:

„Wir wissen sehr wohl, dass es verschiedene Kräfte gibt, die die Ansicht vertreten: „Was die KKE sagτist schön und gut, aber das wird nirgendwo umgesetzt.“ Es wäre aber gut, wenn sie uns verraten würden, wo das, was sie sagen und versprechen, tatsächlich umgesetzt wird.

Wo gibt es denn nun endlich diesen sogenannten „gesunden Kapitalismus“ mit den „friedlichen internationalen Beziehungen“? Wo gibt es diese „gerechte kapitalistische Entwicklung“, von der angeblich alle profitieren?

Die Antwort kennen sie, und es gibt nur die eine: Es gibt sie nirgendwo, es hat sie nie gegeben und es wird sie auch nie in der von ihnen beschriebenen Weise geben.

Das Einzige, was es gibt, sind die unüberwindbaren Schwierigkeiten dieses Systems, die immer schwerwiegender werden, und solange sich dieses nicht grundlegend ändert, nicht gestürzt wird, werden sie sich ständig in Leid für die Völker verwandeln.

Deshalb bezieht sich das Dilemma „Sozialismus oder Barbarei“ weder ausschließlich auf die großartigen Momente der Vergangenheit noch auf irgendwelche anderen großen Ereignisse, die in einer unbestimmten Zukunft kommen werden. Es geht um das Heute, das Jetzt, das Leben von uns allen. Es geht um den ständigen Kampf zwischen unserem Leben und deren Profiten.

Und das weiß natürlich das System selbst besser als jeder andere. Deshalb tut es alles in seiner Macht Stehende, um die sündige Sozialdemokratie wiederzubeleben und die berechtigte Unzufriedenheit des Volkes in die bekannten Illusionen eines Regierungswechsels einzufangen, nach dem Motto: „Dasselbe in Grün“.

Deshalb promotet es das Rebranding von Herrn Tsipras, der wiederum überall, wo er auftritt, verkündet, er habe das Rezept, um dem System „unangenehme Ereignisse“ zu ersparen, wie er die Volksaufstände nennt. Er erklärt also ganz eindeutig, dass er bereit ist, noch einmal die Drecksarbeit im Auftrag des Systems zu erledigen, so wie er es schon beim letzten Mal getan hat.

Aus demselben Grund verbreitet das System auch das Gift des Antikommunismus und propagiert die geschichtsverleugnende Theorie der beiden Extreme, die auch die offizielle Ideologie der verfaulten EU ist. Nun lässt es erneut seine Kettenhunde los, die bekannten faschistischen Kräfte, die es unter seiner Kontrolle hat und nach Belieben einsetzt. Um sie als „Schreckgespenst“ zu benutzen, damit sich seine anderen Parteien – die sogenannten „gemäßigten“ und „demokratischen“ Parteien, die das Volk zugrunde gerichtet haben – mit der bekannten Logik des „kleineren Übels“ reinwaschen können. Sie dienen ihm aber auch als Reserve, um die systemkritische Stimmung junger Menschen in die systemkonformste Richtung, die es gibt, zu lenken. Natürlich auch als Vorwand, um repressive Maßnahmen zu erlassen, die letztendlich auf den wahren Gegner des Systems abzielen: die Volksbewegung, die radikalen Kräfte, die Kommunisten.

Ein solches "Schweizer Taschenmesser" sind für das System die faschistoiden Kräfte. Zum Beispiel wie dieser Kriminelle, der kürzlich aus der Haft entlassen wurde, nachdem er nur die Hälfte seiner Strafe für die Führung der kriminellen Vereinigung „Chrysi Avgi“ verbüßt hatte, die Pavlos Fyssasund ShehzadLuqman ermordet hatte, die die kommunistischen Gewerkschafter in Peramain mörderischer Absicht angegriffen hatte.

So sehr war das System angeblich von seinerFreilassung erschrocken, dass alle systemtreuen Sender davon live berichtet haben, als würden sie über ein Staatsoberhaupt berichten, während er vor dem Gefängnis zu einer Handvoll faschistoider Figuren sprach.

Doch auch dieses Mal wird der Kampf des Volkes sie zerschmettern, so wie ihre Vorfahren von der Roten Armee zerschmettert wurden, als Hammer und Sichel tief in das Herz derNazi-Bestie auf dem Reichstag gestoßen wurden!

Angesichts der verteilten Rollen und der Annäherungen aller möglichen Diener des Systems muss jeder junge Mann und jede junge Frau für sich entscheiden, auf welcher Seite des Dilemmas er oder sie steht. Wem will er oder sie in seinem oder ihrem Leben dienen, welchem Ziel wird er oder sie seine oder ihre Kräfte widmen?

Kompromisse undVerzicht auf ihre Träume passen nicht zur Jugend. Die Einstellung „So sind die Dinge nun einmal, wir können nichts daran ändern“ passt nicht zu ihr.

Zu der Jugend passen innovatives Denken, Mut und das Einfordern ihrer Rechte; es passt zu ihr, alles zu wollen und einzufordern, was ihr zusteht. Im Übrigen: Wo und wann immer etwas errungen wurde, wo eine Familie ihre Bleibe gerettet hat, wo ein Tarifvertrag unterzeichnet wurde, wann immer ein volksfeindliches Gesetz nur auf dem Papier blieb, geschah dies nur im Konflikt und in direkter Infragestellung der Dilemmata und Kompromisse der Diener des Systems.

Hätten sich das Volk und die Jugend davon überzeugen lassen, diese als gegeben und unumstößlich hinzunehmen, hätten sie sich davon überzeugen lassen, die Instabilität des Systems zu fürchten oder auf Retter zu warten, hätten sie nichts gewonnen.

Bei all diesen Kämpfen, die der einzige wahre Gegner der Mitsotakis-Regierung waren, standen stets die KKE und die KNE an vorderster Front. Mit Konsequenz, Beständigkeit, Selbstlosigkeit, mit der Organisation und der Perspektive, die nur die KKE der Bewegung bieten kann. Denn genau sie hat ein Programm für einen radikalen Umbruch, für eine echte Beseitigung dieser Ungerechtigkeit, dieser Barbarei.

Mit ausgestreckter Hand an jeden und jede, die bereit ist, Seite an Seite mit denen zu kämpfen, die das Gleiche durchmachen, um gemeinsam ihr Leben zu verändern.

Denn wir sind davon überzeugt, dass sich die Dinge nur so ändern lassen: mit dem Volk und der Jugend an vorderster Stelle und nicht in der Rolle des passiven Zuschauers.

In diesen Kämpfen sind wir vielen Menschen begegnet, und morgen können wir noch viel mehr Menschen begegnen, die ihre Vorbehalte und ihr Zögern überwinden und ihren Platz in der Bewegung einnehmen werden. Das wird ein riesiger Schritt nach vorn sein.

Deshalb wird es ein riesiger Gewinn für das Volk und die Jugend sein, im bevorstehenden Wahlkampf eine noch stärkere KKE zu haben, um aus einer besseren Position heraus all dem negativen entgegenzutreten, was gegen die Interessen unseres Volkes geschmiedet wird.

Das ist die politische Entscheidung, die unsere Kämpfe ergänzt und ihnen größeren Schwung verleiht, während jede andere sie zunichte macht und ihnen Steine in den Weg legt. Das wird auch die beste Vorbereitung des Volkes auf die Schwierigkeiten sein, die man ihm bereitet.

Wir schreiten stets voran und bewahren dabei stets die Lehren aus der heldenhaften Geschichte unseres Volkes im Sinn. Dieses Volkes, das Großes vollbrachte, als es angesichts der Aufrufe zur Unterwerfung unter ein ungünstiges Kräfteverhältnis – einem Gegner, der unbesiegbar schien, die mutige Entscheidung traf, fest auf eigenen Beinen zu stehen, sich mit den Kommunisten zu verbünden und im Kampf für sein Recht alles zu geben.

Dies bestätigt die heldenhafte Geschichte der Volksbefreiungsfront EAM, deren Gründung sich morgen zum 85. Mal jährt. Dies spiegelt sich in den erschütternden Fotodokumenten von der Hinrichtung der 200 heldenhaften Kommunisten von Kaisariani wider, die Tausende junger Menschen bewegt haben, so wie sie uns alle in diesen Tagen bewegt haben, als wir sie auf dem Festivalgelände ausgestellt sahen.

Dies bestätigt das dreijährige Epos der Demokratischen Armee Griechenlands, deren 80-jähriges Bestehen wir in diesem Jahr feiern. Auch wenn das Volk in einigen dieser Kämpfe vorübergehend besiegt wurde, war der Gewinn um ein Vielfaches höher, denn es hielt die Flamme am Leben und ebnete den Weg für die noch größeren Kämpfe von morgen.

Auf diesen Wegen, die uns die früheren Generationen geebnet haben, schreiten wir weiter voran. Wir bewahren die uns übergebene Aufgabe, bis zum endgültigen Sieg unseres Volkes, das „das Große, das Schöne und das Ergreifende“ in die Tat umsetzen wird.

Eine stärkere KKE, widerstandsfähig gegenüber jeder Prüfung, bereit für den Ruf der Geschichte!

Wir rufen euch alle auf, unabhängig von einzelnen Meinungsverschiedenheiten und unterschiedlichen Ansichten, die heute erkennt, dass eine viel stärkere KKE eine Kraft für das Volk selbst, für den Fortschritt und die Zukunft dieses Landes, dieses Volkes und der Jugend sein wird, unsere Kräfte zu vereinen und diesen Weg gemeinsam zu beschreiten.

Lasst uns aufhören, bloße Zuschauer zu sein, sondern zu Protagonisten des historischen Geschehens werden. Lasst uns die gewaltige Macht der Gewohnheit überwinden. Lasst uns mit offenen Augen träumen, sodass wir für die Verwirklichung all unserer Träume kämpfen können.
