The Communist Party of Israel strongly condemns the ongoing violations of international law by the state of Israel

This night we witnessed another brutal illegal violation of International Law as Israeli naval forces intercepted the boats of the Sumud flotilla in international waters, after attacking and intimidating the flotilla for the past 4 weeks. The detention of peaceful citizens of sovereign countries, activists for peace and solidarity, who are taking responsibility which the countries of the world are required to take in order to stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people in the Occupied Territories of Gaza and the West Bank.

The CPI, in the name of its Palestinian and Jewish comrades and supporters, wholeheartedly conveys its warmest greetings of solidarity to the brave activists of the Sumud Flotilla, who are actively defying the siege imposed on Gaza since 18 years and seeking to break the Israeli criminal starvation of the people of Gaza carrying humanitarian aid, salutes and solidarity of their peoples – as we saw the tens of thousands of people, at late hours of night, in many cities around the world protesting this illegal act.

The international community is well practiced in exercising pressure over countries which – to its standards- commit violations or acts of aggression. We only demand to match this tool of international pressure to stop a genocide that is broadcasted live for almost 2 years now, and only accomplices of the genocide can deny.

As we welcome the continuous acts of recognition of the State of Palestine by more countries in the world – it is time to turn this recognition into actual program and steps that lay international pressure on the Israeli government to immediately halt its aggression, for every minute this war continues more women, children and civilians are massacred or starved in Gaza.

يدين الحزب الشيوعي والجبهة بشدة الانتهاكات المستمرة للقانون الدولي من قبل دولة إسرائيل

شهدنا هذه الليلة انتهاكًا وحشيًا آخر للقانون الدولي حيث اعترضت القوات البحرية الإسرائيلية قوارب أسطول الصمود في المياه الدولية، بعد مهاجمة وترهيب الأسطول على مدار الأسابيع الأربعة الماضية. احتجاز المواطنين المسالمين من دول ذات السيادة، نشطاء السلام والتضامن، الذين يتحملون المسؤولية التي يتعيّن على دول العالم تحمّلها من أجل وقف الإبادة الجماعية والتطهير العرقي ضد الشعب الفلسطيني في الأراضي المحتلة في غزة والضفة الغربية.

ينقل الحزب الشيوعي والجبهة، باسم رفاقهما ومؤيديه الفلسطينيين واليهود، أحرّالتحيّات التضامنية للناشطين الشجعان في أسطول الصمود، الذين يتحدّون فعلاً الحصار المفروض على غزة منذ 18 عامًا والساعين إلى كسر التجويع الإسرائيلي الإجرامي لسكّان غزة حاملين معهم المساعدات الإنسانية وتحيّات وتضامن شعوبهم- حيث رأينا عشرات الآلاف من الناس في العديد من المدن في العالم يحتجّون في ساعات الليل المتأخرة على هذا العمل المخالف للقانون الدولي.

إن المجتمع الدولي متمرّس بشكل جيد في ممارسة الضغط على البلدان التي ترتكب انتهاكات أو أعمال عدوانية - وفقا لمعاييره. نحن نطالب فقط بمضاهاة أداة الضغط الدولي هذه لوقف الإبادة الجماعية التي يتم بثّها على الهواء مباشرة منذ ما يقرب العامين حتى الآن، ولا يمكن إنكار ذلك سوى من قبل المتواطئين في الإبادة الجماعية.

وبينما نرحّب بخطوات الاعتراف المستمر بدولة فلسطين من قبل المزيد من دول العالم، فقد حان الوقت لتحويل هذا الاعتراف إلى برنامج وخطوات فعلية تضغط دوليًّا على الحكومة الإسرائيلية لوقف عدوانها فورًا، ففي كل لحظة تستمر هذه الحرب يذبح ويُجوَّع في غزة المزيد من النساء والأطفال والمدنيين.
