Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Communist Party:
We strongly condemn U.S. aggression against Venezuela!
While freedom-loving peoples welcomed the New Year with hopes for a tranquil year and global peace, Trump and his administration, by attacking the Venezuelan people and violating their country's sovereignty, have once again violated world peace and the national rights of that nation.
Donald Trump has clearly proven that he is attempting to continue the historical path of the United States in imposing global hegemony and shifting the geography of war. This is an act of military aggression against an independent state and a member of the United Nations, which deserves the strongest condemnation; it is a blatant violation of all principles of international law.
The primary American intentions for removing the President of Venezuela fall within the framework of an "economic" and "international political" strategy to expand its power as a global pole. The United States, which has now lost its capacity for economic growth and competition (at its former levels), is attempting to rectify the tilted balance it holds against other rival global poles by securing energy and oil resources.
This military attack is a return to the method of "imposed realpolitik" which the U.S. is re-employing alongside Trump's re-nomination; however, in the current stage, it is being carried out more intensely than before through unprecedented advancements in military technology and field espionage. The violation of international laws—not only by the U.S. but also by other poles—has currently become a means to secure geopolitical interests and impose new equations on the world. What is happening in Latin America will be repeated this year and in the coming years in other countries of that region that resist American ambitions, especially those nations and states that are militarily weak.
