Message of Condolence and Solidarity with the People of Spain

The Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) expresses its profound grief and heartfelt condolences over the tragic train collision in Los Yébenes, Toledo, Spain, which has claimed numerous precious lives and left many others injured.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. We also express our solidarity with the injured, railway workers, emergency services personnel and local communities involved in the rescue and relief efforts during this difficult time.

We stand in fraternal solidarity with the working people of Spain as they confront this tragic loss.

We believe that a thorough, transparent and independent investigation must establish the actual causes of this tragedy and identify all those responsible, including any political and corporate accountability. No individual railway worker should be made a scapegoat before the technical, institutional and working conditions, as well as the railway safety mechanisms, have been fully examined.

This tragedy also highlights the vital importance of public ownership, adequate investment, proper maintenance and workers' participation in ensuring the safety of essential public services. The lives of railway workers and passengers must never be subordinated to private profit, cost-cutting or commercial interests.

The Communist Party of Pakistan stands with the Spanish working class and all those demanding justice, accountability and a safe, fully public railway system.

Our deepest condolences and fraternal solidarity!
