CP of Pakistan, Statement from CP Pakistan 12.11.2025

  • Pakistan, Communist Party of Pakistan En Asia Communist and workers' parties

The Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) strongly condemns the terrorist attack on Cadet College Wana, North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This brutal act of proxy terrorism has grievously harmed innocent students, teachers, and poor security personnel. The Communist Party of Pakistan also vehemently denounces the suicide bombing in Islamabad, mourns the loss of precious lives, and extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

Terrorism, which first spread from the border regions of Afghanistan, has now reached Islamabad, the capital city—while Pakistan’s ruling elite and occupying powers remain focused on tightening their grip over the state, the economy, and society.

The Communist Party of Pakistan has long warned of this outcome. Ever since certain Pakistani generals accepted dollars at the behest of American imperialism to arm reactionary forces under the banner of “jihad” (sacred war) against the progressive, people-oriented government in Afghanistan, our Party has consistently insisted that the profiteering from so-called jihad must end—because Pakistan cannot escape its dire consequences.

Terrorism in Pakistan is the direct result of the policies of the worst dictator, General Zia-ul-Haq, and other earlier anti-democratic forces. These destructive policies must be reversed. Seizing control of politics and suppressing all criticism and dissent through force will only worsen the country’s condition. Further weakening the nation by degrading the institutions of democracy and justice into mere rubber stamps is a grave danger.

The Party asserts that resisting the proposed Twenty-Sixth and Twenty-Seventh Amendments is the duty of every conscious citizen. Such resistance requires the formation of united and organized mass movements, including district-level committees across the country.

The Communist Party of Pakistan also calls upon the lawyers’ community—who suffer firsthand as courts are turned into instruments of power—to mobilize and play a leading role in this democratic and anti-imperialist struggle.
