PCV condemns imperialist-Zionist war against Iran

The Communist Party of Venezuela’s (PCV) Central Committee, elected at the 16th National Congress (Nov-2022), categorically and strongly rejects the imperialist-Zionist bombing of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has caused hundreds of deaths among the Iranian people, including more than 153 girls at their school in Minab. 

The military aggression of the United States and Israel has nothing to do with the just popular and democratic struggles of the Iranian people against that regime, much less with the Iranian nuclear program. This is nothing more than a vile pretext to justify a criminal and illegal military intervention in pursuit of their own objectives: to expand the Israeli occupation in the Middle East and control energy resources and strategic trade routes for world commerce. 

This dangerous escalation of warmongering corresponds to the intensification of the fierce dispute between the world's imperialist and capitalist powers for control of markets, raw materials, and trade routes, in the context of the deep crisis shaking the world capitalist system. Capitalism in crisis needs war not only as an effective means of destroying surplus productive forces, but also as a form of competition between powers seeking to annihilate their adversaries in the dispute over markets and zones of influence. 

The PCV denounces the systematic criminal and expansionist policy of the Israeli occupation, which seeks to continue expanding its borders and regional control by weakening and defeating its main adversary in the region: the Iranian regime. This escalation is connected to the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza, Palestine, and the West Bank, and to the attacks against Lebanon, all pointing to the same goal: the territorial and economic expansion of the Zionist occupation and, therefore, the strengthening of U.S. global domination. 

The Communist Party of Venezuela stands in solidarity with Iranian communists, inside and outside the country, grouped in the Tudeh Party; with the workers' movement in Iran; and with all the forces that oppose the criminal imperialist bombing and the violation of their country's sovereignty, but also fight against the repressive and reactionary policies of the theocratic regime and for the conquest of social rights and democratic freedoms. 

Finally, we wish to express our concern and alertness regarding the role being played by the interim authorities in Venezuela in accordance with the hegemonic and warmongering plans and interests of US imperialism, its European partners, and the Zionists in the Middle East, as a new reliable and secure source of oil. This was evident in the unfortunate and opaque statement issued by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry regarding these serious events, which was careful not to denounce the responsibility of the United States and Israel in this aggression that violates international law. This confirms the dangerous reactionary shift in Venezuela's foreign policy, which tends to align itself with the plan for US imperialist domination of the world, compromising the peace and security of the country in a context of escalating imperialist war on a global scale.

PCV condena la guerra imperialista-sionista contra Irán

Comunicado.- El Buró Político del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Venezuela (PCV) electo en el XVI Congreso Nacional (Nov-2022) rechaza categórica y enérgicamente el bombardeo imperialista-sionista contra la República Islámica de Irán, que ha causado cientos de muertos entre el pueblo iraní, incluyendo a más de 153 niñas en su escuela en Minab.

La agresión militar de Estados Unidos e Israel nada tiene que ver con las justas luchas populares y democráticas del pueblo iraní contra ese régimen, ni mucho menos con el programa nuclear iraní. Esto no es más que el vil pretexto para justificar una intervención militar criminal e ilegal en función de sus propios objetivos: expandir la ocupación israelí en el Medio Oriente y controlar recursos energéticos y rutas comerciales estratégicas para el comercio mundial.

Este peligroso escalamiento belicista se corresponde con la agudización de la feroz disputa entre las potencias imperialistas y capitalistas mundiales por el control de mercados, materias primas y rutas comerciales, en el marco de la profunda crisis que estremece al sistema capitalista mundial. El capitalismo en crisis necesita de la guerra no solo como medio eficaz para destruir fuerzas productivas sobrantes, sino que también es la forma que toma la competencia entre las potencias que buscan aniquilar a sus adversarios en la disputa por los mercados y las zonas de influencia.

Desde el PCV denunciamos la sistemática política criminal y expansionista de la ocupación israelí, que busca seguir expandiendo sus fronteras y ampliar su control regional por medio del debilitamiento y la derrota de su principal adversario en la región: el régimen iraní. Este escalamiento está conectado con el genocidio y la limpieza étnica en Gaza, Palestina y Cisjordania, y con los ataques contra el Líbano, todos apuntando a un mismo objetivo: la expansión territorial y económica de la ocupación sionista y, por tanto, el fortalecimiento del dominio global de Estados Unidos.

El Partido Comunista de Venezuela se solidariza con las y los comunistas iraníes, dentro y fuera del país, agrupados en el Partido Tudeh; con el movimiento obrero de Irán; y con todas las fuerzas que se oponen al criminal bombardeo imperialista y a la violación de la soberanía de su país, pero que también luchan contra la política represiva y reaccionaria del régimen teocrático y por la conquista de derechos sociales y libertades democráticas.

Finalmente, queremos expresar nuestra preocupación y alerta por el rol que vienen ejerciendo las autoridades interinas en Venezuela en función de los planes e intereses hegemónicos y guerreristas del imperialismo estadounidense, sus socios europeos y los sionistas en el Medio Oriente, como nuevo surtidor confiable y seguro de petróleo. Esto se evidenció en la infeliz y opaca declaración emitida por la Cancillería venezolana con respecto a estos graves acontecimientos, en la que se cuida de denunciar la responsabilidad de Estados Unidos e Israel en esta agresión que viola el derecho internacional. Lo anterior confirma el peligroso giro reaccionario de la política internacional exterior de Venezuela, que tiende a alinearse con el plan de dominio del imperialismo estadounidense en el mundo, comprometiendo la paz y la seguridad del país en un contexto de escalamiento de la guerra imperialista a escala global.
