DOWN WITH U.S. IMPERIALISM, IMMEDIATELY FREE MADURO
The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia-NKPJ most strongly condemns the air strikes and aggression carried out by the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its people, as well as the terrorist abduction of the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
We demand the immediate release of President Maduro, his wife, and other Venezuelan citizens abducted by U.S. forces.
Trump’s schizophrenic terrorist intervention was carried out without the approval of the UN Security Council, and even without the approval of the U.S. Senate.
Imperialist actions—whether conducted through direct military force, economic sanctions, political destabilization, media warfare, or terrorist acts—represent a gross violation of international law and of the right of peoples to self-determination and sovereign development.
Our country knows very well what such imperialist interventions mean—we have felt them on our own skin. Therefore, we demand that the Government of the Republic of Serbia respond immediately and unequivocally condemn the aggressive imperialist act of the United States, which flagrantly violates the sovereignty of an independent state as well as all possible norms of international law regarding interstate relations and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states.
The NKPJ calls on all progressive, communist, workers’, and anti-imperialist forces around the world to raise their voices against the aggression, to defend peace, and to provide active solidarity with the people of Venezuela. Only through joint struggle and international solidarity is it possible to confront imperialism and prevent new wars and destruction.
We are convinced that the people of Venezuela, with the support of progressive forces worldwide, will defend their right to sovereignty, peace, and social justice.
