The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia expresses its firm and unwavering solidarity with the people and government of Cuba in the face of growing external pressure, unjust sanctions, and continuous attempts to undermine its sovereignty.

At a time when global tensions are rising, we emphasize a clear and principled position: not neutrality, but the fullest possible support must be extended to Cuba by the governments of member states of the United Nations. In moments of escalating pressure aimed at this country—pressure carried out with the singular goal of its geopolitical disappearance—silence or passivity is not an option.

Today it is Cuba; tomorrow it could be any other nation targeted by the self-proclaimed global arbiter, the United States. This reality obliges all progressive forces, governments, and peoples to recognize that defending Cuba means defending the fundamental principles of sovereignty, equality, and international law.

The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia firmly believes that the Cuban people have the full and legitimate right to defend their national sovereignty, independence, and socialist system. No external force has the right to impose armed infiltration, terrorism, or an economic blockade against any sovereign nation.

The growing pressure and the continual deterioration of living conditions in Cuba are the direct consequences of some of the harshest sanctions in the modern world—measures that are not directed against the legitimate authorities alone, but against the Cuban people as a whole.

We call upon workers, students, intellectuals, and all progressive forces in Serbia, the Balkans, and worldwide to express their full solidarity with the Cuban people and to join anti-imperialist forces across the globe in demanding the immediate lifting of the unjust blockade against Cuba.

All imperialist conspiracies and provocations against Cuba must be stopped. The sovereignty of all nations and the right of peoples to self-determination must be respected.

The Cuban Revolution remains a powerful symbol of the struggle of workers and peasants. Imperialist powers have failed to defeat it in the past, and they will not be able to break the determination of the Cuban people in the future.

The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia stands resolutely with Cuba, convinced that the principles of solidarity, dignity, and resistance will prevail.

Long live the people of Cuba!
Down with imperialism!
Long live international working-class solidarity!
