Statement of Support from the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NKPJ) for the Communist Party of Poland (KPP)
Dear Comrades of the Communist Party of Poland,
The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NKPJ) extends its full revolutionary solidarity and unwavering support to you in the face of the renewed and reactionary attempt to ban your party. The request submitted by the Polish President to the Constitutional Court on November 14, 2025, to declare the KPP unconstitutional is a blatant act of political persecution and a severe attack on democratic rights.
This attack is not an isolated incident, but part of a longstanding campaign of repression against your party and its members, primarily under the pretext of combating "communist symbols." It occurs within a specific and dangerous international context: the systematic falsification of history, the outrageous equation of communism with fascism, and the distortion of the role of the Soviet Union in the fight against Nazi Germany. This ideological offensive is directly linked to the aggressive policies of NATO and the EU, their proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, and their broader confrontation with the People's Republic of China. Unprecedented war propaganda and militarism inevitably fuel intensified anti-communism, targeting those forces—the communists—who most consistently fight for peace, sovereignty, and socialism.
The history of the international communist movement teaches us that there are few communist parties in the world which, at some point in their history, have not faced bans or severe persecution. From the Tsarist repression of the Bolsheviks to the banning of communist parties under countless fascist and bourgeois-authoritarian regimes, our movement has been forged in struggle. History remembers that communist parties have often emerged from these bans stronger, more tempered, and more deeply connected to the working class, ultimately overcoming even far more powerful enemies.
We are well acquainted with the sacrifices and struggles of communists. Today, we witness similar reactionary processes across Europe.
The NKPJ pledges to do everything in its power to raise public awareness about the political persecution of communists in Poland. We will disseminate information, mobilize solidarity, and loudly condemn this anti-democratic act.
The attempt to ban the Communist Party of Poland is an attempt to silence the voice of the working class, the voice for peace, social justice, and a socialist future. We are deeply convinced that no court decision can extinguish your ideals or break your revolutionary will.
The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia stands firmly with the Communist Party of Poland!
No to the banning of communist parties!
Long live international solidarity!
Workers of all countries, unite!
Long live the Communist Party of Poland!
Central Committee
