Workers Party of Ireland Solidarity with the People and the Communist Party of Venezuela

Following the back-to-back earthquakes and the resultant destruction and loss of life in Venezuela, the Workers Party of Ireland expresses its deepest sympathy and solidarity to those who have lost family and friends and sustained damage to their homes and communities.

The Workers Party of Ireland also sends its internationalist solidarity to our comrades in the Communist Party of Venezuela which is committed to the defence of the working class and popular sovereignty and the social and political rights of the Venezuelan people. Despite the political, social and economic difficulties and the repression confronting the Venezuelan working class and its organisations, we are confident that the power of the PCV and the labour movement and the collective resilience of the workers will prevail. Your struggle is our struggle!
